Good to see CJ has passed Yze in order of prefference. ie: Yze a possible, CJ not :)

Who is next?

Fair go, it's a squad of 31 players and includes a few who start on the bench in the Geelong game - big deal!

I'll be there tomorrow, and will certainly be on the look out for Mr. Yze...

In all honesty all ooze has to do is go hard at the ball tomorrow, chase, and just be committed. If he does he'll get picked. if he shows up uninterested and grumpy he wont be there against the saints.

I'm praying that my once favourite player doesn't do the latter and allow his career to fall apart. Given what he is capable of, that would be criminal.

If what ND wants to do is select Ooze for round one then he's played his cards well here. Adem was, if recent form is any indication, no chance to play well against the Cats. Put him in Sandy, where SURELY he would dominate and show people that he's too good to be playing in the VFL. If he tears it up today, then he should probably get a game in a fortnight. If he's lacklustre, then NO-ONE would blame Neale for dropping him.

It's all on you Adem.

Perhaps so, but does one afternoon against a VFL club make up for his past?

If he finally tries I'll be pleased but I'll also be cross.

Why hasn't he done that for the last few years whilst he's been collecting his (not insubstantial) paycheck?

IMO it takes more than one game to demonstrate a genuine change of attitude.

And I don't think we'll see that change until he's playing for Sandy while our senior team is playing a proper home and away match.

He isn't missing out on match-day payments just yet... I'd say that until he does, thing won't change.

Would love to not see him play Round 1. Not only will it end the stupid record (which btw, is rightfully Stynes' and should remain so), it would serve as a serious warning to both Yze and other senior players who tend to go missing when the pressure is on.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
