I'm so sorry that the youth of today never got to see this team play. Jesus Christ they were good.

Adem Yze I owe you an apology. I always knew you were a champ, but bloody hell you had mad skills, and were much harder at the pill than I remembered. We had stars. Unfortunate that we came up against a team of thugs who would do "whatever it takes" to win a flag.

Before I die I want to see us physically maul a side to win a flag.

Watching it right now, such a funny moment for Wiz’s 6th goal. A great grab by Jeff to deny Robbo taking a speckie! So much excitement in that forward line.

The Daniher era 98-06 should have resulted in a flag. 2000 Essendon were too strong but 04 we were on top & lost the last 4 games to finish outside the top 4 .. just seem it was always a bridge too far for them.

Have we seen a better half of football by an individual in our colours? Struggling to remember if anyone has come close to that second half performance. Freak!

How good was White before they denied him his run and leap at the centre bounce. Clean and direct knock out to team mates. An outstanding feature of our great game.

What a curse the AFL rules committee is.

And how good were our fleet of left foot runners - Yze, Woewodin, A McDonald and Powell. Add Rigoni, Leoncelli and Johnstone and we had a weapon. How come we could never take full advantage?

64 million dollar question... Daniher era resulted in making finals every 2nd year from 98-07. They couldn’t sustain the intensity to go all the way . They missed out on finals in 01 after making GF in 2000

Watching White in full flight was phenomenal. I remember seeing him with the massive run up at an opening bounce and literally jump straight over the head of his opponent and that's no exaggeration.

Compared to the forward lines of yesteryear, our current one is an absolute embarrassment.

Can it be that the Corona virus has saved Goodwin's job for another year? He quickly dispatched Roos' defensive gameplan, into one that is kamikaze with a virtual third tier forward line.

ps - watching those vids just reminded me of my dislike for Tarkyn Lockyer. The bloke was a faux tough guy who liked to dirtily give it out, but sooked up big time when he got a faint touch. M@ggot. Seeing Wiz tear him a new one was mesmerising watching!

Commentators pro-pies from the start.  Nothing has changed.  Pinhead Hudson still sounds like he is dribbling dog poop smelling saliva down his chin, 20 years later.

What a talented team.  You forget how good that squad was.  Shame we couldnt close the gate that year.
