Is Badloss going to fix the atrocious game plan while the break is on? The game against WC was exactly the same as last year’s disaster.

While extremely disappointed, with the result,  I was mostly disappointed with the way we sent the football into the F 50.

Or how uncoordinated our forwards were, in relation to the ball carries coming down the ground.

All we seemed to do was blast it high and long towards the goal area and the eagles raffled it and sent it back.

Given that, the balance of the side did well for most of the game, some wins some losses,  the forwards or more particularly the method of entry into the F 50, a few wins more losses. That has not changed for yonks, I go to a match and have no idea who will kick the goals for us, it seems futile some times....

It appeared to me to be close to an exhibition game in terms of player effort from both sides. Given they knew the season was suspended, and quite possibly over, it was effectively a dead rubber. Whilst I agree about our i50, I doubt (*hope) this is the standard they will continue with.

It seems as though most of his "set backs" have been minor, which would have been expected.

Yes I probably had written him of as well, BUT Never say never, If he was to get on the park again it would put a smile on a lot of peoples faces around here and give great cause for optimism.

GO HARLEY!

Time the great Healer! This time of even better for him!

The rebound out of the fifty and easy chains of marks towards their goals was especially worrying too. There’s no accountability in defence. Many of their players were wombling free with no dees player within 50m of them. And it happened multiple times the same way.

Why do you doubt it? They’ve been doing it for over a year now,

The WC game wasn’t a disaster.   People need to realistic and understand how good WC is, especially is Perth.  We matched them for 3 qtrs in a game they knew would be their last.   Can people not imagine the anxiety the players might have had knowing borders were closing and the need to get home.  Understandably WC were in a similar position but they were already home.

It wasnt a disaster from a contested ball perspective , a fitness perspective or from a score perspective. Losing by 5 goals to the eagles in perth is no disaster. But the style they played with, the way they moved the ball forward and the  fact that the game was over at qtr time was a disaster. I think we all felt let down because after the build up over the summer,  precious little was different from the worst of 2019.

And there was no rabid crowd to blame.

Yes you are probably correct

poor flying times to get there, last game of a defunct round, all the uncertainty.
why get invested in the game!

unfortunately I had hoped for a strong response from about Christmas and was a little disappointed!

And if we do play any more games then I hope we try Harley, it’s a non season anyway, most results will be tainted apart from our wins. So why not play him, Jones , avb and anyone else who might not be around in 2021.

Don't know which game you were watching, but Kennedy and Darling were well held. Easily their two most damaging forwards were very much accounted for.

As I saw it, the main problem was (as usual) our terrible inside 50 connection.

Agree, and an absolutely fair enough expectation.

Agree and what...... Exactly, had we done about that TERRIBLE inside 50 connection in the off season??????

Over to the coaches and if not coaches, players who cannot carry out the strategy.

If the players then get rid of those who are perennial offenders and get in some who CAN DELIVER.

If coaches then at the end of season, expect to see some major changes at MFC

Perhaps you didn’t notice them kicking a whole lot more goals than us. Easily and freely passing to each other on the way to easy goals.

Ok and so given that then players clearly still haven't learnt that you have to be ACCOUNTABLE and play two way footy! Agree some very simple goals but still I believe our shocking habit to just bomb long should have been remedied LONG ago!

Totally agree. Also need more spread inside 50.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
