Another fantastic coup for the Podcast @Demonland.ย

Neita was by boyhood idol. I had number 9 on my back throughout my career.ย

The Dees should get him back to the club to work out it's goal kicking woes.ย

Oh my yes indeed. Beautiful follow up goal. I'd like to see Tommy Mac do more of this.ย

David Neitz is one of the reasons I barrack for the Dees. A great footballer and a ripper bloke too. Could take a contested mark.ย

I'd love to hear about his early career at centre half back and what was the impetus of his move forward.ย

They'd be a great sponsor for the Torp.

Ask him why nobody retaliated when that dog Long almost killed Troy Simmonds in the 2000 GF.

The whole team let Troy down that day.

We'll be interviewing Neita on next week's Podcast.ย

Let us know if you have a question for him.ย

DLand please ask Neita his opinion about the quality or lack there of set shot goal kicking in the AFL today. Particularly at the Dees!! He was a beautifully straightย and long kick for goal.ย

@Demonlandย given his time sitting on the tribunal andย MRP, you must ask him some questions about the MRP/MRO debacle as we see it. Iโ€™d love to hear his thoughts on the process and hopefully a few nuggets about some adjudications.ย

Admonish him for joiningย Hawthorn as a part time coach all those years ago and ask him if heโ€™d be interested as a forwards coach with us.ย

His thoughts on our lack of forward craft would also be appreciated.ย

Cheersย

Most of us would remember Neal Daniherโ€™s last game as coach, would like to hear about the emotions on the night, especially when Neita and Neale walked off together with arms around each other.ย

Thanks.

Not from the same game but I love this photo of the two of them.

With the exception of 2000 did Neita think we could have snagged a flag during any of the years he was at the Dees?ย

Thoroughly enjoyed @Demonlandย thank you. In cockney I believe Neita is what theyโ€™d call a โ€˜diamond ge๏ปฟezer๏ปฟ๏ปฟ๏ปฟ๏ปฟ๏ปฟโ€™.

A true gentleman. His achievements are up there in the top 5 players of the club. I'm not sure he truly gets the recognition amongst the wider Footy community.

Itโ€™s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brillianceโ€”mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

๏ปฟAย steamyย Springfieldย evening set the stage for a blockbusterย top-fourย clash between two AFLW heavyweights.ย Brisbane, the bookiesโ€™ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing inโ€”the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season.ย It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6โ€“4 edge.
