I thought we were after Balic, not Impey. The former likes contested footy (apparently), the latter us a bit of a flake. We don't need flakes.

Deep down I always compared watts to goodes

As much as I love Watts' strengths, this is just nowhere near reality. Goodes did some annoying things, but was a match-winning superstar with few flaws in his game. He could play forward, back, ruck, midfield and possibly his most important trait; he was a finisher, a goal kicker.

Watts COULD be this, but his lacks something (I don't know what) that holds him back from his full potential.

I thought our QB game was our grand final.  He stood up there rather well.

Ya as others have noted, it might be a big game for us it isn't a final and certainly isn't a granny. Look I'd love to see how Watts, all our players handle finals let alone be in a granny but it doesn't look like that will happen (for Watts) with the Dees.

Mates into me last night about Wattsy trade.

Hawks and Pies supporters happy to take him for 2nd rounder 23 / 24 pick.

Bombers supporter said a definite yes to pick 28.

Seems many others happy to take a 150 game, 27yo agile 6’4 forward, skilled with excellent goal kicking.  Can play spare back or ruck roles.

Fair few of my mates who support other clubs seem to think that he will do better anywhere else than Melbourne.

Why do you think that would be?? What am I missing? Surely its up to Jack how hard he trains ,how much he cares ,how committed he is.

What's some other club going to give him that Mfc hasnt. He has been looked after with kid gloves here.

Been a while since I've been on so I haven't been able to comment on the Watts situation, but, after seeing his interview at Adelaide airport on Channel 7, I can say that I am 99% sure he won't be playing at thr dees next season, kept saying that we are a great club that is heading in the right direction with a lot of young talent, which to me seemed like he was referring to the point that the club will be fine without him

Goodes was a powerful runner who just kept moving to give options. Watts doesn't seem to know how to continually present, especially when the Dees lack cohesion, and demand the ball.

Id have thought it not so much he wasnt where he might need to be ( as it seemed to me he was one of the very few among our lot that actually knew where to be )   It was that he was often not honoured..and i mean OFTEN.

Mentioning Watts in the same breath as Goodes is ludicrous, but I do agree with this observation.

Rumour I heard yesterday from a guy who has a good track record is that we have asked the question on kade Kolodjashnij as an outside midfielder.

I really rate him as a player and very much hope he’s on the money here.

I hope this true. As an outside mid would be fantastic who can also play back. Best rumour posted yet!

I would prefer Kade over Gaff. Alot more upside and versatile.

His brother would be a great get aswell.

What would a trade look like to get Kade to the Dees?

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
