I didn't need facts to see that Pedo was carrying condition and I called it before pre-season had even started last year as did others. He ended up losing 10 kgs so you I'm assuming you saw him post weight loss. And I'm not calling these blokes fat. Because clearly they're not.

I don't mean to sound condescending, but if you've played any reasonably high level sport and have undertaken any sort of skin fold testing it's actually quite easy to tell who is carrying and who isn't.

At AFL level, it stands out. Kent is in the same boat as Pedo. Clearly, he is unsure of what an AFL athlete's lifestyle looks like. Just by looking at him, there's no doubt he could get his skinfolds down through both his diet and working harder on the track.

I spoke to a MFC player delisted at the end of 2016, said Kent is one of the worst at the club for skinfolds...

We are definitely in the market for a Ruckman after Spencer's delisting .

I doubt that they will go for a young project player, but word is that North will trade one of theirs .

Pruess, Daw or Goldstein, which one?

It will be Goldy and he won't be cheap. He is also on big coin.  He won't be our target.

trading for a reserve ruck is a tough one ...

ideally you want a KPP who can ruck. If not you are after a back up that sits at Casey... who would want that job and would we be prepared to give up anything (pick or player wise) for such a player

Lol, doesn't surprise me. He reminds me of Darren Lehmann (playing days) in a Melbourne jumper.

I told you I didn't them Vogon.

:)

But we do now because a poster on an internet forum said something!:P

FWIW I suspect you're right but I was interested to see if anyone knew more to back up what was a pretty distasteful comment if it was just uninformed opinion.

Is this guy worth a season or two

THE RAW numbers will blow you away.

This Northern Knights product is a five-time VFL Team of the Year ruckman, including in each of the past four seasons.

His 1088 hit-outs and 273 to advantage in the 2017 home and away season dwarfed the next-best in each category, Box Hill's Hawthorn-listed Marc Pittonet (554) and Werribee's Kangaroo Braydon Preuss (119).

No rival VFL big man averaged more than his 5.1 clearances or 6.8 tackles per game, either.

He is fifth in contested possessions (9.3) among that group, too.

What might surprise you more is that Williamstown strongman Nick Meese, the man in question, has no AFL suitors. Again.

And probably never will, given he turns 29 on Saturday.

Could someone please make up a rumour to get this thread back on track.

The Club has agreed with Jesse Hogan to allow him to move back to be with Ethan and his Mum. They have also agreed to trade Jack Watts there so someone will dress him with the appropriate East Coast boardies.

Hows that work for you.

Oh yes. This comes from a very strong sauce. Not BBQ either.

Kent has had back issues which have impacted in his capacity to train and reach the desired fitness levels

Just saying

We have been down this track a thousand times, Pedo assumed (he told me this) he was to carry on with the weight he was in previous seasons under Roos. He was wrong and embarked on a program to shed the weight, this proved not only a chance to prolong his career but a benefit to the team

I have also spoken to Kenty a few times, his issue and his constant frustration, works his arse off to get fit and then finds new way to get injured and has to start again. Just wants a clean run at it, no post season ops or back issues so may get the chance for full pre season.

They won't be getting a 29 yr old ruckman.

At 29Yrs old, he won't be too expensive, or he'll be too much?

What would you guess, Redleg?

Not sure I understand your post. Goldy is on a big contract that the club who gets him will have to pay. Also Roos will want a good pick or player for him.

The posters that don't provide that will be judged accordingly. And I wasn't responding to your tiers - I was responding to the lack of rumours up in here.

C'mon people?! Someone go read bigfooty or something...

I can't read...

Oh, he's still contracted . I see.

What do you reckon about Preuss.  His numbers are excellent for a Kid.  Would they trade a kid?

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
