I haven't been a member for a few years now; living in the country, babies that don't let me travel to Melbourne, and lets face it a few years of frustration at the impotence of our list, game-plan and club direction (the main reason I could no longer justify what was becoming charity with no reward).

But the older babies our now young boys and capable of 2hr car trips and football games (alright they don't attention span for a whole game yet), the football even when we are not winning is competitive and/or entertaining with no more frustration than any of club/sport, and I feel the off-field leadership has corrected course.

I was hoping on some advice on what sort of package to get:

My family profile is Me, a 6yo, 4yo, and the Mrs might go to 1 game if pushed. However another baby due later in the year so she is likely a non-starter  for the next few years.

I would hope to take the boys around 3 times a year (obviously working around their sports , birthday parties, my work etc.)

I don't mind a small premium above gate prices going to the club (hey that is the idea), but I am not a high flyer with money to burn on deluxe packages and options that won't be utilized.

Do I sign up for a country family membership (and do the kids all get little scarves/hats or whatever they give away these days) for simplicity, or do I get individual memberships for us?

I started looking at the club website, and quickly got lost in the options.

thanks for your collective thoughts

Gday   I live in Warrnambool now, so similarly do not get to many games   But the family membership gets you 2 adults and up to 4 children   The kids get special packs all get scarves  and family was cheaper than two adults,   don't know the cost of the country membership never enquired

but  now we have a neice and nephew and two other foster kids who all cheer for the Red n Blue  I might have to rot in hell for causing them a life time of pain  OR  I might be the best ever uncle if we win a flag or two   its good to see these 4 at auskick in red n blue colours     too many geelong around here                     Go Dees

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
