Earned his early elevation from the rookie list with some good early form at Casey but wasn't able to sustain the form at a higher level.

Apart from either being subbed on or subbed off in that last second St Kilda loss in 2015, I can honestly say he never played a poor game for the club.

The trouble is he never played a particularly good one either.

If he was playing in the MLB baseball in the USA, he'd be known as the classic AAAA player. Too good for the best minor league (AAA), but just not quite good enough for the big league.

Left Freo for more opportunity. Sad reality is he might have had more opportunity at Freo this season if he had stayed.

We have risen, freo have fallen. Viv is a cusp player, and needs to be in a bottom side if he is going to play regular games.

I hope he can get a gig somewhere and play a few games next season.

Too good for VFL, but as previously mentioned, will get more opportunities in a weaker team.

I hope he finds another club in 2017.

Let's not get too carried away with our own season here.  We are not yet a side bristling with midfield talent that is impossible to break in to, there were places in the side ripe for the picking most weeks.  For whatever reason, the opportunities he got were obligatory at best and the club looked to other players for the most part.

Without wanting to be disparaging, I think even the weaker teams will look elsewhere.  Most clubs would prefer to gamble on a player they've never seen before than a player who has now been in the system a while and failed at two clubs.  I know that's harsh and I feel very sorry for him as he's clearly left nothing out there and seems likeable, but I think it's just how it is.

I like him in the VFL and he's a ball magnet.  But you have to be very very good at what he does when you don't have pace or height.  I have no problem keeping him if we think our list doesn't have enough back up midfielders (I think we do - ANB is pretty similar.  Salem Melksham Petracca Hunt will all push for midfield duties on top of what we already have).  2 Years of the Rookie list usually means you have had your shot, so the place can go to a new up and comer who might do something special.

I agree with all of that Angry ......... and isn't it brilliant that we can now seriously talk about our likely discards going to 'weaker teams' for more opportunity?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
