CASEY SCORPIONS v FOOTSCRAY BULLDOGS - VFL FINALS WEEK 1

Featured Replies

Footscray doing all the attacking in the first five or six minutes of the final term but they've only managed one goal from three shots at goal.

Weed did a real nice dodge and dish off to assist that goal by Scott.

Dunn keeping us in it in the back half.

Weideman breaks the lines, gets it to Scott and Scott kicks his 4th in something that is really against the flow of play.

Dogs winning in the air. Taking some strong high marks. Up and about.

Thanks for the updates everyone

Not taken for granted,  and very much appreciated

Terlich clears the outer fence with a goal!

Dogs another behind. Sheesh.

Terlich is the man though - another goal out of nothing. We are getting goals on the rebound now from Dogs behinds. 33 points in front but need to steady a little more.

Hulett with superior strength wins the free for being held by one arm when marking. And converts - 25 out straight in front.

Quick kick out of the centre. Ferreria to Hulett, he was held, got the free kick. He goals and hopefully the floodgates will open and the Casey boys can have some fun and fill their boots.

Nibbler off the ground. Goal!

Not Smith as the commentators thought.

Our 4th goal for the quarter. Smith kicks it from a crumb in the goal square of a Terls kick.

4.0 to 1.2 this quarter.

Sorry this has probably already been covered and im not going to go through all 9 pages to check, but why is this game not on ch7? We finished on top after all.

Cameras at North Port Oval and Ess v Geel is more eyes on the tv screen.

Thanks to all for the updates. Want Salem in for the preliminary final.  Hopefully Casey builds in finals pressure and gives the young blokes a taste of what winning finals is like.

Sounds like Oliver BOG again. He should be #3 in rising star behind Mills and Parish.

Huey super happy with that sharp, straight kick set shot from the pocket. Great technique. Well done son.

Is Salem eligible?

Yes. Grimes has a 50m penalty, kicks for goal, he kicks our 7th for the quarter.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
