Mine too. I'm 48 and as a 16 year old that film was a vhs classic. I rememher renting it and watching it with a group of mates. Ive seen a few times since and again only recently on sbs. I love the stylised gangs and of course the speech from cirius. Great stuff

What movie??

Scorpions had a chance to score but the Dogs cleared and moved the ball quickly forward for a goal. The lead is 10 points at 25 minutes.

Graland drops an uncontested mark 5 meters out from goal, Footscray straight up the other end for a goal

Why the Fk did we sign Garland to a 3 year deal yet we are just happy to let Grimes go at years end.

A poor list management again. Garland is rubbish.

Like to see a replay of that point, Commentators with bulldog blinkers on just blindly accepting it

absolutely pathetic Casey, Garland,& Trengove are finished, pathetic compsure and skill from senior players

Colin Garlands 3 year deal was one of the few mistakes Roos and co have made.

I get angrier about it every week that passes Dazzle, wanted him gone at the end of last season and we give him 3 years, FMD

Casey in that last quarter are like the Dees under Neeld. They don't have a midfield; they just have a group of midfielders.

Could see that coming a mile off. Can't believe we don't even know how to eat the clock up properly.

Careful.

You criticize Plod on here, and you will be fending off the wolves all afternoon.

A good reminder today why Roos and Goodwin have stuck a fork in the Garland-Dunn era

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
