GC17 can still bid on all three White lads under the academy process

the white lads have the power to nominate father/son (mfc) or academy (gcfc) prior to the draft.

where they go is up to them if they choose to nominate. end of story.

Do not worry people. If Kalani is good enough come draft year he will be a Demon should we want him. Talked to him and dad at a local under 17 game up here in Qld and both are mad Demons.

Which draft year are we looking at? 2024 or 2025?

He is only playing under 17's this season so would think 2025

He will be eligible for the draft in 2025.

Noah yze is next year but will probably need to develop his footy a bit more as a top ager in 2024.

No they can’t. Similar to the Ashcroft boys who had/have the option of more than one club, it’s up to them to decide.

I’ll never understand why people post stuff like this as if it’s fact when in reality they don’t know what they’re talking about.

There is a difference between bid and nominate. Ashcroft nominated Brisbane and was bid on by North.

White can nominate Melbourne but there is nothing stopping GCS bidding on him.  its up to Melbourne to match the bid.

I never understand why people post stuff which is just plain wrong and shows they don't know what they are talking about. Still school holidays isnt it.

Hopefully Kalani wishes to be a Demon like his Dad.

Jeff White was always an exciting player to watch with his huge leaping.

It would be a fantastic story if he joined us under the Father-Son Rule. Kalani learning under Max Gawn and Brodie Grundy would also be very appealing.

Will be interesting if he ends up growing taller than his Dad too?

Anyway, I wish him and his younger brothers all the best with their football journey.

They're fanatical Dees fans and the boys have been looked after by the club.
If he's good enough, he's a Demon.

Huh? What you’ve said goes without saying. GC bidding on a player who hasn’t nominated them would have absolutely nothing to do with “the academy process” as the OP stated 🤨

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
