Most complete mid in this draft who is available. dont [censored] around and draft him.

Absolute rubbish, on his best day Parish would run rings around him on the outside and is more than capable on the inside, i wouldn't at all surprised if he slips out of the top 10, impressive sure, but he's come from nowhere, Parish has been All Australian 2 years in a row.

We will get 2 of Oliver, Parish, Curnow and Weiderman. Essendon the other 2

Both will take one tall and one mid. So it may depend on the descepency between the 2 miss being bigger then the 2 talls.

It would appear that's the case.

I hope it's Parish and I like either of the other two.

He didn't get selected because of OP.

This might be a stupid question but what does OP mean

Bontempelli also came out of nowhere

Roos will go for the big bodied mid who can kick goals. Oliver is right down his alley.

I think we will go Oliver and McKay.

oliver won the morish medal is just over half a season of football so he has to have a fair bit of skill. he is certain in the mix in my mind.

Do they vote on each game for that?

Bontempelli was on the radar for alot longer than Oliver has been, Collingwood wanted him that whole year, Oliver didn't look like being drafted at one point.

Parish is fast, skillful, can win his own ball, uses it well, makes great decisions and has a body of work to prove he's able to do it consistently. it's a no brainer at pick 3, not against Oliver at 7 but i don't think he's in the same league as Parish having seen both live.

Parish isn't as damaging as Oliver. He gets lots of touches but a Fuckload of them are dinky little hand passes.

Oliver breaks games open with bags of goals and his physicality on the opponents. Shits all over Parish in the air to. parish only got one contested mark in 14 games.

Watching to many highlights mate.

Parish runs through the centre and opens the game up, takes players on, generally hits his target and brings his team into the game

Oliver gets it and bombs long, he's a brute but so was Aiden Riley.

Parish to me is an Andrew Gaff clone but better at winning the inside ball, maybe Dan Hannebry

Oliver seems to have alot of people seduced by the Cripps/Wines comparisons and not as much on what he's actually done.

Like winning Morish medal in half a season? Has any player ever done that before?

Plenty of scrubbers win Morrish Medals.

It's hardly a badge of honour.

Say what you like but Andrew Hooper is a STAR!

Say what you like but Andrew Hooper is a STAR!

Wasn't it the Larke Medal that he won??

Oliver is a bull and bangs it long, like Andrew Moore and Ed Curnow

Parish is classy and an inside-outside threat like Gaff, a young Ben Cousins, a young Garry Ablett Jnr, Kieran Jack and Robbie Gray

Morrish medal winners from the past 12 years. Aside from Heppell and maybe Kruezer, all very average players

When are you going to ask Parish to marry you, mate?

I like how flippant you are with your comparisons for Oliver though to try and talk him down. He has been likened to players such as Wines and Cripps. Not bad really.

And Parish is closest to an Andrew Gaff type of player. If he was all of the above, which you mentioned, then he would going at Pick 1.

Wasn't it the Larke Medal that he won??

You're right, but I couldn't be bothered editing it after I realised.

Substitute for Jarryd Blair.

Il take your Jarryd Blair and give you Mungara Brown.. lol

OK, so I looked at Oliver again on youtube and he does look a pretty exciting prospect. When I first watched him I didn't want to like him and was overly critical - cognitive bias and all that.

I really like Parish and reckon he's exactly what we need, however, Oliver has some exciting AFL quality traits.

Looking forward to Tuesday night.

If anyone likens him to Jordie Mckenzie again it's going in my signature

could both be very good players, although quite different

would still go for parish before oliver

It's only because their both redheads lol.

I'll admit his highlights look great, but why has he not been able to produce like this before the 2nd half of this year?

As someone mentioned before, and numerous times before that, he was injured with OP (oestitis pubis) for the first half of the season and took time to get going.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
