Harley Bennell

And not nice to our Harley :)

I wish people wouldn't do that.

I know. You shouldn't be allowed to nominate your club.

Aren't Roos and Rocket reasonably good mates?

They share an interest (get paid by chemist warehouse) about prostate problems.

It's all become so clear now, like taking a pee after drinking 10 litres of water. Bennell will be a Demon.

Harley and Petracca in 2016 would add serious X-FACTOR....

Please please please...

Agreed. He's the exact type of player we need. Just got to back in our environment.

Would be a fair combo PRB. Petracca will need time.

Will our environment pass muster MW?

I think I just wet my pants with excitement.

After a long time where we probably couldn't honestly say yes, hopefully we've now got the right people in the relevant places RTG.

I'd like to see us take the risk. It's going to take a series of calculated gambles coming off to get us pushing for a flag again in this age of free agency, with the powerful clubs staying at the top of the ladder for longer.

I'm just reminding myself that it's Big Footy. Nahhhhhhh

Another follow up in response to someone asking why us and what the chances are:

Fair to say he was positive. I'd only heard the rumours we weren't interested. When he said to me we are getting Bennell I questioned it. I know how close this guy and Nev are. He said he'd spoke to Nev today and the meeting was a couple of days ago. Why would he choose us? I can't answer that . Maybe we are a destination club

Idk. Doesn't sound convincing to me.

I can report that Colin Sylvia will not be returning to the club to act as mentor.

Idk. Doesn't sound convincing to me.

Yeah I don't know. Bullsh1tters are usually pretty easy to spot - they're usually the ones who big-note and try to go into too much detail in an attempt to sound convincing.

This guy isn't pretending to know an exorbitant amount, and it's a plausible story.

Certainly doesn't mean it's a done deal but it's nice to be talking about a potential A-grader possibly coming to the club again rather than spuds like Melksham and Bastinac.

Not even annoyed if it turns out to be BS. It's a very nice thought.

Idk. Doesn't sound convincing to me.

Probably means it's true.

Wow, didn't expect to read that this morning!

Will be thrilled if true. What will get the deal done? Howe & Pick 6 for Bennell & Gorringe?

It was rumoured on facebook that Bennell rates Roos highly.

You can forget Prestia if Bennell lands at MFC

Will our environment pass muster MW?

Not 6 times a day

Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll AFL

This happens across all high paying athletes EPL, NFL, NBA etc etc etc

I hope the rumor is true, but given Roos was quoted in this article:

http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/tigers-to-weigh-up-harley-bennell-dees-and-roos-wont-20150916-gjocyi.html

Only week ago that we wouldn't pursue him, you have to wonder what's changed?

Could be typical Roos smoke and mirrors to divert attention elsewhere…. Hopefully

Really hope it's true.

We need to land one of Bennell / Hartlett / Prestia / O'Meara this coming trade period.

Absolutely agree.

Plus a Redden, Melksham, Bastinac or Moore (from Port).

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
