GAME DAY - Round 6

No wonder Clark is still feeling depressed!

Roos needs to move the forward line into the back line. I want to break another "lowest score since" record and get something out of tonight!

God it's tough to watch this team work so hard trying to find a bit of belief and confidence, only to lose it all in the blink of an eye.

Why is Vanders on Jetta?

We've been shyte but what do we expect? Sydney was in the grand final last year and we finished 17th. There's a long way between us and the best teams in competitions and that's what we're seeing tonight. Next week we've got the reigning champs coming off an embarrassing loss to GWS. They'll be fired up.

Can we still somehow blame this on Watts?

Delivery getting worse as the game progresses.

Better late then never... iguess

Has the players put their cues back in the rack this early in the season?

Sydney supporters cheering our goal lol

Hahahahahaha straight back.

Get stuffed, Melbourne.

FFS at some stage this club and the players have got to stand up and show some balls.

10 fcuking years of being sub standard. 10 years!!!

No improvement.

Kids do all their schooling in 12 years....

"They were last year's Grand Finalists!"

So?

on a brighter note Mad Max is on at the movies next week.

"They were last year's Grand Finalists!"

So?

Exactly

Instant excuse to play putrid shite football

Had enough. Dam you Schwab and what you did to this club

Hope to run into you sometime...

so go the days of our lives, hows the footy going did we score

I booked flights to NZ next weekend so I wouldn't watch the Hawthorn match.

After tonights effort I'm glad I did.

Pedo Off... Watts on! Couldn't be worse could he?

First game, but Stretch shows more footy smarts than most on our list. He runs and makes position and uses the angles well. Looks a natural footballer.

Not much good to say but needed to say something positive.

Give him time, in a seAson or two he should be Melbourned

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
