It was close on 12 months ago when the teams faced off at the MCG. It was a close game although the Suns took the lead in the second quarter and held on to it for the remainder of the game. A costly but questionable free given away to Gary Ablett Junior for interference in the last quarter gave the visitors the breathing room necessary to take away the points.

You could mount an argument for Frawley but he probably didn't have his heart in it for the liking of many.

In any event, he's now a Hawk and Mitch will probably kick a bag on him whenever they play this weekend.

Wow they are big changes. And a big statement with Grimes as well.

Very happy with the changes. I hope Grimes can turn his game around.

The difference between last years side to now is light and day. Look at some of the names not playing:

Terlich, Bail, McKenzie, M. Jones, Georgiou, Evans, Grimes, Spencer... that's 8 guys who have questionable disposal and decision making skills.

The side, on paper at least, looks so much better than previous years.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
