The colour RED, is it that hard?

Featured Replies

Would have thought Red was closer to Purple than white was

It's not about what is closer, it's about what clashes.

Our red jumper would not clash with Freo's purple jumper.

I think I read somewhere that our first preference is to wear the red, and to only turn to the white where the red clashes. In essence the white is our 3rd kit.

lol... four different shades of red on the homepage.

I thought I would ask if my avatar colours were acceptable, but I can see myself that the blue is the old blue, you know three blues ago or was that 4.

When Freo play Gold Coast the Suns wear white

How about the swans if they play away? I can't recall seeing them in a clash jumper (ever)

they only have a clash jumper

I never liked the color purple.

It gave me the blues .

Especially at the end.

I would have thought:

Home jumper

-Collingwood, Geelong, GWS, GC, Hawthorn, North, Richmond, Sydney, Dogs

Red

-Carlton, Fremantle, St Kilda (even though I don't think we clash), Port, West Coast

White

-Adelaide, Brisbane, Essendon

I would wear the white against the dogs.

There's too much red and blue in the dogs jumper which I think causes a minor clash.

I think you'll find no other side wears white as a home jumper hence no need to change

I have never understood the reason for clash jumpers.....I didn't have a problem with it watching mud splatted players on bogs of grounds, even the TV replays in black and white.

We now have Digital TV's which display clearer and detailed pictures and play on perfectly manicured grounds and we are now told that we are so dumb that we cannot tell the difference between players.

Give me a break

When they played at Subi last year the Suns wore their red jumper.

Yep I'm a traditionalist too. They can keep the National comp but bring back Ressies games before main matches, completely shove the music between quarters and if I'm being completely picky I would like a return to L Vs M updates on the scoreboard which you then had to consult the record to see who L and M were.

The more entertaining they attempt to make it the less I enjoy the experience. Go Dees

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
