If we are playing at riddles, I've been told to keep mum as this is really really close, but try this....

Ronald who looks after the fries, is currently cooking us up a Mac-lin

Leun-burger?

So a another whole day of trading has gone by and the only deal done was Christensen to the lions for 21??

Thursday at 1:55pm is gonna be bloody exciting

Ok, here you all go:

- "Our likely trade partner comes in black and white but is not a little bird. "

Solution: Swan. A large bird that comes in black or white

- "Tick, tock, the black mouse has run up the electric clock.

Lancelot lurks with feathers or fur to the command of his sir."

Solutions:

- Clock: SCG clock tower

- Mouse: John F Kennedy's wife called him "mouse".

- Lancelot: JFK had a well-documented fascination with Lancelot, and is linked to him throughout various texts i.e. 'Medievalism in North America'

Now Chook in Perth's riddles:

- "Our marsupial is digging into his old pouch"

Solution: Roos - Sydney

- "What's in a pouch"?

Solution: Joey. (Kennedy's nickname)

I win

Going to quote this again so you two know what I'm referring to.

GNF, CIP - Prove me wrong.

Right, so riddle has been solved then... Kennedy it is! Who will be first to get overzealous and put him in their avatar?

pick 12 for scully. you heard it first

And last! That kills me!

Always knew he'd end up at Richmond.

So are we targeting Josh Kennedy?

If you believe the following:

- GNF and CIP are legitimate

- My decryption of the riddles was correct

There are people with too much time on their hands in this thread...

There's research, and then there's prior knowledge.

The latter was where my post came from, I just connected the dots.

Just as long as you can handle being totally and utterly incorrect then you can connect as many dots as you like.

Just a bizarre thread. I am preparing for a massive anti-climax.

The amount of 'deduction' going on, followed by people steadfastly believing they are correct based off what you could deem as 'clues' is almost laughable. Whatever floats peoples boats I guess.

Did I say that we are getting Kennedy? Nope. I simply was alluding to the 'riddles' of Grand New Flag and Chook In Perth. But please, if you have a better solution to the riddles, I'm all ears.

I don't have a better 'solution' because I'm not stupid enough to waste time obsessing over it. Nothing wrong with that though pal, so you go right ahead. Don't let me stop you.

Oh no its the saints - black and white but not a bird.

Jesus, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Jack Steven? Please tell me its not reiwolt

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
