Josh up on trade radio after a commercial break - couple of mins away

rubbish..

ohhh sorry - I have gotten into the habit of believing nothing that is written on here.

what a depressing interview, jack watts is no chance of leaving :(

Isn't it amazing that the guy who predicted this hasn't posted today?

More amazing that we believed a trade would be so perfectly arranged, we'd announce it at a certain time of day.

Josh mahoney just killed the kennedy deal. Not happening not on radar. On behalf of everyone else the rumour starters can go...

And this is the exact reason why I never have or will believe an internet rumour.

plenty of air time for this young man... He may have an announcement or "2" or "3"

Can we have a summary of the interview?

Mahoney on SEN:

Kennedy not happening

Going to the draft with our picks

Still hopeful of getting a deal done for Frost

Watts staying

Edited by jabberwocky

he said once we get Frost thats it for us, no chance of keneddy and no chance that watts will leave

we are probably going in with picks 2 and 3. Been knocked back heaps by other clubs trying to get a big fish. said ahhh no when asked about Kennedy. Still open too trading pick 2.

Where's RD?

Not that I believed him, but an explanation is now required from him on today's non happenings

He did hint of looking at the pre season draft for someone to fill the Trengove void.

Lamuba, Garlett, Stretch and Frost

Brayshaw, Lever and Gore.

Then in the market for a free agent next year.

Still hopeful of getting a deal done for Frost

Hope so as we can then use the PSD if helpful.

Maybe rather than get nothing, if GWS still have their 2nd round pick we get Frost and swap 2nd round picks.

Don't think we have any later available picks and they probably wouldn't use them.

Basically said. Demon supporters should suffer for as long as they can as we aren't looking to improve the list. Part of this punishment will be to watch Mitch Clark boot 60 goals next year & to observe Kennedy & Dangerfield tearing it up as we never approached these guys.

We will be looking to the draft to [censored] things up again.

Just joking, obviously, not all is doom n gloom, I actually look forward to seeing Brayshaw and one other. Chins up.

We had PartyBoy and GNF calling something similar too. Not after a witch burning, just want to hear the background from their understanding!

that baby isnt crying enough!

"Everyone is tradeable" my ass.

We traded one player, the best forward on our list. Woo [censored] hoo

Josh Mahoney on AFL trade Radio

  • Talk about Harry's role
  • Happy with experience with Harry and Jeff
  • Would like to close frost deal
  • Asked if any magic with "2" and "3" happening - Josh remarked its not likely a deal with these picks will happen by 2pm tomorrow. Josh mentioned setting up Dees for grabbing off contract players next year
  • Probed about players Dees are after apart from Dangermouse, Josh wouldn't provide any further
  • No interest in Lyons or Hunt
  • Comfortable to go to draft with 2 and 3

Looks like 2015 is going to be another ripper year. #fistpump

Setting us up for FA next year.

ND here we come.

Lots of people crying foul about us not trading enough.. at the end of the day, you can only trade if the other teams/players are at the table.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
