don't you mean smoked, old cobb'er

What ever floats your boat DL

Again, I'd be staggered if we didn't have a backup plan for Danger turning us down. There's obviously been a lot of maneuvering behind the scenes to get us pick 3 and potentially financial assistance... I can't believe it's all amounted to nothing.

Well if we don't get him it's not the end of the world, plenty more fish in the sea. Trust the new recruiting department, Jason Tailor will know what he's doing and the club will be angling at something

The last 10 pages of this thread suck.

I refrained from checking it for a few days and then saw the explosion of posts, so thought it might be time to check again.

I feel dumber for having done so.

Yeah na, I wasn't joining in bro.

Chook, you seem a tad fried. I'm in Perth, can I shout you a Schooner?

It's official!!!

I love this thread!

No I'm not going to swim with the fishes over my "it's official" line.

Seriously if I see one more bad fish pun I'm going to krill someone!

Possibly the worst.

Wanted to be hopeful but just yesterday the Giants were posting photos on Twitter of Cameron training at Giants HQ. If they knew he was out the door I doubt they'd have bothered, and I doubt he'd be in Sydney starting training.

Great to see @Jezzacameron & @JacobTownsend31 getting a jump on pre-season. The boys left nothing in the tank today.

Really unfortunate photo of Townsend there.

I lol'd.

I would like to think that Paddy will read this thread and think " what a fun bunch of supporters. I want to be a part of that

Where do I sign".

The fish puns are doing far more laps than these two!

I think he'd more likely to run to AFC HQ and demand a contract and pen.

think its read better than most of the 'lets hang them' threads, on under performing players.

a little light humor is good for the soul, especially after the last 5 or 6 days.

thats what it seemed like, as the nett effect.

What a disappointing thread this is. :P Wake me up when Dangerfield signs. ;)

Could not agree more. Most threads on here go downhill and get depressing pretty quickly. This one took a while to get going, but very nice light hearted humour is great.

In Detroit. During the playoffs, they throw an octopus onto the ice rink. Was thinking this could work at the G if Paddy signs.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
