Jack Watts - More Discussion (for those who haven't had enough)

Asked if he wants to stay at Melbourne, he paused, shrugged his shoulders and said something along the lines of, that's what I need to decide.

Same deal as Roos, can't have any half hearted soft [censored], either in for the long haul or right out the door, need to get someone with abit more heart in return.

Horrible. Could not have been less of an endorsement. I'm genuinely peeved.

A young player who hasn't got near reaching his potential, who has quite publicly had a swipe at his former coach and who is out of of contract and not wanting to sign until his struggling club get a new coach (ed) is going on the footy show.

God, Jack's manager must be a jack off of the highest order

Hey Rod you are so right JW is very poorly represented

The least worthy panelist from a footy perspective I can remember.

So what is he on for ?

Idiot

I'm wondering why Lyon would have let him on, presumably knowing the extent of his indecision.

Clearly not happy with the club at the moment. If he wants out then let's get the best trade we can for him. Trade him for a promising young midfielder. We need midfielders!

He will way up ALL options

Jackie boys only real option is to play good footy and have a go He cant can he? Go away!

Gone.

V disappointing. May as well take the number 4 off the jumpers now. Another kick in the teeth for dees supporters.

yep I feel gutted as a dees member

MFC should seriously consider letting him know there is no place for soft [censored] on our list, and that he will be traded regardless of what he wants to do because he is nowhere near good enough to be holding the club to randsom.

I'm trying to convince myself that he is genuinely weighing up options. Gut feel is not at all.

Stuff finding the best possible trade...don't delist him before the national draft and let him get gobbled up by GWS. At least he will be used to the floggings.

No idea why the club OKed for him to go on the show when they are surely aware of his current mindset regarding our club.

What sort of [censored] endorsement is that for our dying brand?

Just like how GWS gave us a flogging this year?

I'd say he has a very clear idea where he wants to go, and would have been thinking about it for some time.

If I was him, I'd be gone too.

Hmmm dunno,

He sounded like someone that has to weigh up his future, sure it didn't sound good, but he sounds like he has faith also in Peter Jackson. Will hold judgement at the moment, and if he goes, we should get currency for him, if he stays lets hope the new footy director and coach can get the best out of him.

I will agree with the comment someone made above regarding why was he allowed on the show... it doesn't paint him or the club in a good light.

One of the most pathetic responses I've ever heard. It was feeble and I wouldn't be fussed if the club put him up for trade now. What a passenger.

There was an opportunity to show some strength, and he passed. Winning doesn't just happen Jack, and it would be nice if you acknowledged some responsibility.

Turning Melbourne around is a competitive persons job and football's full of them. See ya, Jack.

I am one of them, but I feel sorry for the supporters. It's bloody hard.

Unless Jack wants to put himself at the mercy of the draft the MFC can choose whether we agree to a trade. This is good advertising to get the best trade and a renewed board and FD could entice him to stay.

He's had a pretty tough run since we drafted him and looks like he needs a fresh start.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
