They are admirable, the Cats, but I have had a gutful as well.

The only home ground advantage of any team in Victoria.

Extraordinary luck with father-sons (when father-sons were REALLY CHEAP - not like now) helped build a machine that I look forward to seeing wind down.

A lucrative stadium deal handed to them with taxpayer support.

And as you say, Selwood belted around his stupid head with no reward. I mean really, all of us only ever get one head so what's so admirable about this bloke ducking his into trouble for ever and a day for cheap frees?

Scott and the Roo boys will be salivating at the notion of playing a Darwin sapped Dees. We will play them back into winning form no doubt.

What good's that doing to do them? They are done and they know it.

Three games outside the eight and with Geelong, Adelaide (away), Essendon, Hawthorn and Collingwood to come the Roos are dusted.

We might just win because they're depressed.

no, they want respect back. They 'll slap us each way and sideways especially if no Garland.

Hate to say it but they've owned us in recent times.

They have a midfield. Not brilliant but likely 3 men better than us.

They need to show their lot that they can remember how to win.

This is schooyard pecking order stuff.

North at Etihad? No chance.

GWS at Skoda? Should win, but GWS will massively set themselves for that one to be their one win for the year.

Gold Coast at Metricon? Umm... did you hear about last night's game? Or watch when we played them at the G earlier this year? Very doubtful.

Craig would be firmly entrenched as 3rd option behind Roos then Williams, and in front of Eade. Doubt that will change pretty much no matter what happens.

North definitely the hardest to win.. But if they did beat the kangas the momentum would be huge by the time we get to the suns.,

Personally, I would like to see Mark Williams the next coach of Melb, has abit big the Liegh Mathews crazy about him, gets passionate but keeps a calm head at press conferences.. Unlike old twitchy McGee mark Neeld

GWS most certainly a win.

GC are far too classy in the middle.

North have lost 5 games by 5 points or less. They aren't easy beats. They'll beat this squad by 7-8 goals, at least.

Don't forget any team that comes back from Darwin does NOT win the following wk.

I think we will be lucky to get within 6 goals of NM.

North are gunna be really pizzed off and who better to beat up on than us.

Don't forget any team that comes back from Darwin has a prepared excuse as to why it loses the following week. We were never going to beat North. I would be disappointed if we used the trip to Darwin as the excuse.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
