Hahaha.

That logic is like saying Collingwood trined at Goschs Paddock... Melbourne trains at Goschs Paddock. Melbourne is Collingwood.

So....... Neeld's response to a journo when he was accosted at a private camp by vultures gunning for his livelihood to be curtailed is going to be the method of judging his coaching? See if Champion Data will run that stat.

Mick Malthouse made a career of bring sarcastic, cutting, aggressive and rude to journos. You DEFINITELY wouldn't want him then.....

The Gosch's Paddock Delusion wore off at the Main Interval when they all piled back onto the MFC Reality Bus.

If Melbourne were to play like they did in the first half yesterday for a full game and we knew we would atleast get that every game where do you think we would finish on the ladder or how many games do you think we would win? I think yerterday our "leaders" and senior players actually pulled people along yesterday for a half. Trenners was good, Grimes, Clarke, Sylvia and jones.

Substitute any name you like. We are INCAPABLE of shutting down a hot player. Have been for years.

I agree. Although this problem stems from simply not following Heppell or Priddis around the ground. We are so loose and our midfield structures are hopeless.

I think that reaction was due to the constant barrage he has copped from them. He's allowed to be sick of those parasites without it having any bearing on his interactions with his players.

ok. but I think his frustration levels at the players' performance would, from day one, have been at least as trying as the frustration he gets from the media. Your argument uses an analogy that isn't much of a help to the point you are making, I think.

Neeld was actually pretty convincing in staying removed during the media barrage over tanking. I reckon it looks like when it touches him, he has a shorter fuse than a public figure can afford to. Shorter fuse, and less ability to come up with the right sort of responses (e.g "I have no idea - any suggestions?") Could be wrong.

did they sing the song at half time or what

the game-of-two-halves performance today is even more damning than last week for Neeld - it shows there is something there but for whatever reason Neeld cannot get them to produce it consistently.. and when the chips are down, boy are they down. In reality if any coach is ever in charge of a side that is outscored 11 goals to 1 in a quarter he needs to go.

oh and words cannot express how much I hate Jamar. 2 weeks in a row he has cost us very, very badly. A complete spud who somehow had one great year - i'll be damned if anyone can explain that.

Nope, they were applauded leaving the ground at half time.. this has stopped many Melbourne teams in their tracks.

* stand and cheer them at the breaks, sing the song, yell out go get 'Em Dees or something,,, BUT don't applaud at Half time !!

applause is done when you satisfied with the entertainment or the message,,, its done at the finish, as a message of appreciation for what has been delivered.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
