Perception of our training standard and the reality compared to other clubs

Been listening to the sports radio in Perth. Something was raised here and on other media is the recent past.

The standard of our training, apparently the opinion of opposition spies is that our standard of training is the lowest in the AFL.

They talk about the lack of skills and sharpness in how it is run etc.

Others on this forum has also raised this when comparing our training to other clubs.

So when our coaches say we are doing everything right and training well but its not translating to the field. Is it simply our standard is too low even with experienced and successful coaches such as craig neil overseeing it?

The running seems ok. But with ball in hand it's sloppy and repetitive.

Too many drills practice the same things without enough pressure or physicality.

Even the way the start the warm up each session is monotonous and largely wasted.

Collingwood always look sharper, more creative and more skilled.

We obviously can't get any worse but we will slightly improve as the season goes on as our benefit from game time is much even than casey

Obviously extremely concerning if true, however I really would have thought Neeld from the Collingwood system, Craig from Adel and Misson from Sydney and Saints would all know what elite training was, and are credible when they say we have been training hard and well.

I heard them on Perth radio at the end of the WC game last night saying McLardy and Schwab were invisible and did no interviews. Both were on the radio a few hours before. So I wouldn't put too much stock in Perth radio when it comes to MFC.

Im calling bullsht on that rumour. Theres no way Misson and Craig are that far off the pace. Misson himself is one of the top sports fitness guys in australian sport. Shut out the noise fellas.

I must admit when I went to a training this year I left underwhelmed by the intensity and skills. That's comparing with previous years too.
