I had number of dealings with Mark when he was at Melbourne and he did a lot of work for players off field welfare while at the MFC.

Good appointment for AFL as has had 13 years footy club experience. Good former Dees man also.

Am I right in saying he's been at the Hawks for the last 8 years and was at the Demons 6 years prior to his stint at the Hawks?

Hi H_T. Heard Mark say on SEN he has 13 years experience so would be at least 5 at the Dees before that. He was involved when our business group, Melbourne 3000 was trying to arrange work experience for the players and was when the Club was running a business academy headed by the players.

Hey Redleg, I am pretty sure Mark left MFC on good terms as I remember talking to him at the time when he told me was going (went as part of Al C's initial team) and would think he would still be on good terms with MFC. Agree with Ben-Hur about him. Mark has handled himself well and developed further during his time at the sqwarks
