NAB CUP 2: PORT ADELAIDE

Featured Replies

For anyone not wanting to listen to the commentary because of bias, it doesn't seem too bad so far. Of course, their knowledge of our players is not as good as their knowledge of Port Adelaide, but what can you do?

Mine keeps playing the same 30 seconds

As long as it's the 30 seconds of Sellar's goal over and over again you could be in for a positive experience!

Anyone watching on AFL Live app? The front page of the AFL website is suggesting you can view the game on there. Might download if so, it's only $15.

One of the commentators is a moron who doesn't seem to know anyone who doesn't play for Port, but the main play-by-play guy is pretty good.

Do the commentators know the names of any Melbourne players?

They've only just figured out Sellar (and even then they are not sure) and he is from Adelaide so I don't hold out much hope.

is port playing by themselves??

i have only heard three Melbourne players

how poor is 5AA

As long as no one gets hurt and we don't get smashed I'll be fairly happy.

If someone can confirm this I'il get it as well.

Goal of the day from a 35 out straight in front. This commentary hurts.

Lol @ the reaction to a Port goal. And a goal resulting from a 50 metre penalty is a candidate for "goal of the day", because Port scored it.

Sellar into everything so far it sounds like.

Sellar hits the post. Unlucky. Playing a blinder so far.

5aa is being very complimentary to our players

I think its referring to the live audio option within the app

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
