Two who i thought showed a bit today especially couch who seems to have added a bit of pace about him. Looked much better then Magner who was unsighted but Couch got a couple of clearences and his kicking wasn't that bad at all. Will be watching his progress with intrest over the Nab Cup.

Matt Jones showed a bit of poise and pace and i thought his kicking was quite good. Was trying to pick up the tempo of the game but couple of games and id have him Round 1 on the wing.

Jones needs to lower his kicks a bit, probably something that comes with adjusting to AFL. Seems ok though.

Couch did show a bit, but he was a fresh in the second game. All we know based on last year is that Magner has the edge on Couch but that could change.

I think it comes down to injuries as to whether Couch or Magner get upgraded and a spot in the team for round 1.

Magner locks the ball up .

Can't get it on cleanly ever .

I hope he is only used sparingly because he hasn't got the skills for AFL.

Great attitude but hey call it Football for a reason .

I spoke to Couchy at Family Day and mentioned he seemed to have picked up a yard of pace, he puts it down to a no miised session pre season, feeling really good

Also spoke to Matt Jones, asked him about the step up and Dean Terlich, said it was only NAB Cup but difference in speed of game hit them both, but both really enjoyed it

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
