Oh wait, now I get you.

Yeah, all threads should be entertaining to Biffen.

Definitely make it a forum guidline.

Edit:

RR to make a poll and see who wants more threads to entertain Biffen?

Oh yes.

This thread is almost better than drugs .

Because DEMON LOVE is the DRUG.

My reference to you being gun ho is in regards to your solution to the issue. Replacing boards and banning companies do not solve the issue and is merely a band aid solution.

Your rushing into it, with a short-term lynch mob solution with no long-term perspective solution or deterrent.

disagree,, penalise and set the tone moving forward.

The Board, or the licence, then the Board will step down themselves.

When changes are needed like this go in hard, cut hard, & set a new culture industry wide.

Sorry, got a bit side tracked... Dee-luded if you still want to argue pm me

argue, I've not been arguing with you.

I've been stating in this thread all along my thoughts about it.

You took to my thoughts challenging me. I merely told you what I was thinking. more a discussion.

But IMO we look at it from differing sides.

I will always take the side of Humanity, & never take the side of materialism, over humanity.

Posted

swallow pride? so you think this is all about winning a debate??? We are on way different sets of Ideals. I don't care at all about winning a debate.

I care about regaining our countries values back, the good human value ones.

* on the Board again, you haven't read my posts as I've stated many times now, IMO the board must have picked they're executives & I can only guess, have stood behind them,, thru their many bad issues in recent years, re shock jock radio.

I said I think the board should be sacked, along with the executives & those who passed this issue to go ahead, after the Pre recording of the Prank.

The DJ's IMO, are down the list as pawns of the bigger game, only trying to make a career. Sadly some people will do anything for big money. The Jails are full of them.

But the DJ's need some penalty as well.

---------------

You've quoted something about arrogance, from a dictionary, suggesting I'm arrogant, & then you go on to call names. Your trying to what, hurt, by name calling, or something, & trying to be insulting?

Sorry, you've failed to get me to change my mind on this issue. I don't now if you idolise business people & Board members, but I don't put anyone up on high, including me.

And I don't put anyone down below the feet on the ground level, no one.

You see we're all born & all die equal. Life is all equal & precious.

Sadly I don't think I can continue to make the same arguments using the same words in a different order. Again

I'm going to have to start expressing myself in image form.

In reference to your post above:

Ah yes .I miss RR and his cantankerous polling .

He must have a job at Morgans or something by now.

ANd where the bloody hell has Daisycutter gone?

As for Brian Wilson? Gone missing on the big issues .

If it weren't for BBO and WYL and a few other cameos this place would be on Xmas holiday programming .

Lol, it's not the polls I miss. It's the "lol another RR poll" posts that immediately follow one that leave a role hole. I was only a DL lurker when he was around and I still miss the comedy.

I think we've gone onto an off-topic tangent from our off-topic tangent.

Unless this is a really elaborate meta-commentary on drugs, we should probably stop.

I can't do this at the moment (I will later tonight), but if another mod can in the meantime, please do so..... . All the talkback call posts re: the phone call prank stunt and so forth subsequent posts, will be moved to a new thread on the General Discussion board.

HT, this is all relevant to the attitudes which lead to hurting people, and causing them to lean toward drug taking etc...

...the attitudes in all this are the same ones which cause the more sensitive among us great pressure, more than many can bare, & some look to substances to relieve they're torments.

Footy is similar, re the drugs in sport, & many should be able to see the connections.

I think it would be good to keep the topic in here as it will eventually come back around the loop to show the similarities & connections.

Many people who are less sensitive,,have put they're hurt into sport, ones who haven't become dysfunctional from the abuse.

But some become severely anxious in they're lives unable to function properly. and then depressed.

It is in AFL, but the less sensitives are less likely to let it show, hiding it, sometimes even from themselves, until a crash happens.

These shock jock antics have been around for a while and I dont think permeate from one board, but as an industry as a whole - so getting rid of one board, would not solve the issue.

Whenever i read the term shock jock i usually just translate it with d-head....

Have really enjoyed this thread especially the contribution of Choke who has tried to retain a semblance of logic and order but appears to finally had enough.

Is media the drug (opiate) of the masses now.?

That the public of Australia has been stirred up by the events of an individual (with litt;le casual reference as Choke has indicated) as a reaction to a frivolous humourous response to the juggernaut surrounding a royal beatup, is most unfortunate.

To exagerate that this is an indication of the slipping of civilisation moral and value, no not even an indication but down right evidence is surely the epitome of irony.

Even Prince Phil saw the entertainment (publiclly) of the episode.

But little do we know what happened in private and how now obviously how entrenched are the sympathies for those in priveleged positions.

OH HEck I think Ive lost the plot! Choke and deeluded (at least) help me by continuing your eloquent and coherent arguments that I might have the shutters lifted from my deluded thoughts and actually give a rats.

Perhaps it does put into context the state of Trenners knee// Heaven help us should some unfortunate supporter take extreme action

OH perhaps thats what it is all about?

I'd like to dpos, but I'd just be repeating myself.

I am however more than happy to post mocking images and memes in place of counter-argument, since actual argument in this thread is no longer constructive.

This will at least achieve our primary aim (as stated earlier) of entertaining Biffen wherever possible.

Hopefully H_T will split the thread, so that the people who were originally talking about the drugs issue can get back and have their say, and our little detour will be relegated to the gulag that is the general discussion forum.

All these posts were diverted here to it's own thread. They were part of the Illegal Drug culture thread on the main board.

I haven't read this thread, but just wanted to say that the condemnation of this radio pair has been ridiculously over the top.

yet you've read the Andrew Bolt take .

I dont want them flogged because the Nurse killed herself .

I want every commercial DJ in the world to top themselves -just because they are all annoying ,repetitive parasites .

I have no sympathy for them at all .

The late Nurse is only the visible victim of stations like 2day and MMM that kill us all a little every day .

Product shoving-Advertising.

Whatever you call it they are dicks for participating in the great [censored] off of anything going .

Sack em-put em out of a job as a lesson .

Put Kyle in prison for laying the [censored] template for them

Torture them for all i care .

Lucky there is an inner-city, left wing ,cultural elite to look after them .

If we withdrew the vote form self satisfied suburban swill I woud be happy .

No, I haven't. I haven't read a paper for over a week. I have no clue as to his view, but I know he has terrific common sense, so if he arees with me I'd hardly be surprised.

As for DJ's ? Don't know any and don't listen to any. I can't bare FM radio. If I ever flick on to listen to music they're talking about some boring crap and cackling with laughter. Why don't they just play music ? Do people actually want to hear them crap on ?

Lol, I'd rather listen to a shitty FM DJ than Andrew Bolt any day.

At least I can laugh AT the DJs. Bolt just depresses me with his divisive whining.

Unfortunately, yes, there are a lot of people who like to listen to FM DJs crap on. I can only hope that with the advent of internet radio that their ratings will suffer with the increased choice people will have.

Andrew falls into the latter group.

I used to listen to Fox FM most of the time but recently gave up as i was overcome with 'gossip' cr@p and advertising shoved in almost everywhere they can get it. When the news and weather reports started including ads, i cracked it... Now i just listen to Triple J in the car and purely music digital stations at home...

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
