Thank god for Brendon Fevola

Surely if our old waste of space sets off a firestorm of investigation and hand-wringing then so does Carlton's equally obnoxious (or, just noxious) waste of space?

EXPAND THE INVESTIGATION!!!

But were they silly enough to have a meeting with an agenda on the topic?

But were they silly enough to have a meeting with an agenda on the topic?

Probably, the afl cant ignore this

But were they silly enough to have a meeting with an agenda on the topic?

did they ?? Its only Caros supposition such an event took place.

Shes trying to add 1 and 1 and make 7 !!

If more witnesses come forward then there may be a case to answer. It would be a long stretch to call Fevola a reliable witness let alone a person of good character.

And Brock is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Brock is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Burnouts McLean is?

Snap!

And Brock is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was the first. Seems to be many that have come forward since. Read what I said. They need more witnesses to back up Fevola's allegations. Or else nothing will happen

Is there proof of this?

Better not be. An allogation from Caro at one point.

Brendon Fevola was a player playing for carlton at the time, much like dickwod mclean was for us. Good on him for spilling the beans, it will hopefully take some of the heat off us

Absolutely need this to be the case

Many have come forward since? What are you talking about? The AFL commenced a formal investigation on the back of McLean's comments. No one one 'came forward'- they were compelled under threat of sanctions to agree to be interviewed. By the by the comments by Fevola are very similar to BMs

"I can't remember" is the best defence. So far, too many associated with our club have good memories. Lets find out what the Carlton boys can recollect.

Did she find it locked in a vault?

Given what is coming out maybe she was invited to the meeting?

I can't remember. Good one. Why spend money on lawyers when we can just purge our memories of the event? I can't see anything that could go wrong with this defence.

Putting you head into the sand has the same effect.

On the bright side at least Fev has a gambling and alchohol issue - Brock cant change being a dick and an idiot

Nar but seriously thank you Fev. I have alot of respect for players who retire and play in local clubs, and now I have alot more repect for him coming out.

The best thing for us is to make this a code, not just single club, issue.

If carlton get worried and starts weighing in it puts more pressure on the AFL and you would think change the punishment if it got to that stage.

And Brock is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if he thought through the irony that he would also be bringing his new club into the spotlight.

It would be good if a journalist looked into the respective deals between the MFC and CFC at the time Brock crossed over.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
