WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRIS DAWES

Chris Dawes to Western Bulldogs

Pick 21 & 47 to Collingwood

Good hope it's correct, I don't want any player out there that doesn't want to play for us.

I can understand that payers are apprehensive about our immediate future but to come out and say they don't want to come to Melbourne is insulting and they can [censored] off.

There will be a time when we are successful and I hope the club remembers all the knobs that dissed us.

We can offer better picks than that.

So where is this "War Chest" where building?

We can offer better picks than that.

why would we? I hate if we payed that much.....

I think Dawes value to us weakened once the Viney pick Hogan selection all panned out as we had hoped 2014 Clark Hogan.

Dont HAVE to get A Dawes now...just a decent lump as Fidge outlined above.

Of course if we got him inexpensively...well..:)

We still need another big forward for 2013 otherwise we are going to get smashed again and Hogan my not be the play we want him to be strait away. Big guys take time to develop.

It concerns me that while I am supportive of Mark Neeld(as per my avatar ) it is a concern that it appears two players (wellingham and dawes )who have had direct contact with our coach and have had good money offers put in front of them have chosen to go elsewhere and seemingly were just not keen to entertain coming to Melbourne

I think that has more to do with the MFC than Neeld...

I would prefer to build the midfield first.

Swans just won a flag with LRT and a skinny, out-of-form 20 year old in Reid playing keys posts.

Firstly, I haven't heard that Dawes doesn't want to come to us, and secondly, I would choose the Dogs over Melbourne if I was in his situation. He's going to be a key target for the Dogs for the foreseeable future. At Melbourne, he can run around at CHF next year and then gradually see his senior appearances diminish as Hulk Hogan begins his reign of terror. If he was making a decision about putting himself in the best side, it's Collingwood. If he wants to give himself the best chance at a prolonged career, he should choose Footscray.

Did Dawes say he didn't want to play for Melbourne?

It has been reported that he doesn't want to come to Melbourne and if that's the case then I hope he goes elsewhere.

If we're looking for a fill in for Hulk then we might as well use Sellar, in my opinion he is not far off Dawes and can play back, forward and ruck. There are some on here that will argue with that, I'm sure.

Let dawes go to the dogs, he would be getting too expensive for us, for what we want, no point paying overs in the HOPE that he can recapture form.

A few clubs including us still need to delist, so some more good average players maybe available soon. Pederson would be a good pickup you would expect at a reasonable price. Just need to do a couple more swaps over the next couple of weeks, then the draft.... Hopefully we may get another decent compo draft pick for Baloney and others who may depart under FA.

All Hun journos reporting dawes to dogs for 21 and 47 on Twitter ie Ralph Clark and Robinson

If Collingwood then bring in Pedersen one would need to question if there are other reasons other than the salary cap that they would jettison one forward to grab another.

Stuff Dawes, i'd go after Pederson. He could fill either CHF or CHB next year, then when Hogan comes in, he can move permanently to CHB. He's 193cm and 100kg, is the same height as Frawley and 7kg heavier.

we aren't going to be challenging for the flag next year (one wouldn't suspect - stranger things have not happened :)), so we aren't in dire need of a CHF.

when are people around here are going to get in there thick heads the bloody wellingham wanted wet toast , only , not sydney , not carlton , not bummers , etc etc , ONLY WANTED TO GO HOME , not us , or anyone else , , inferior complex goin on here , is that to hard ? build a bridge and get over it ! bababababa

The football player community is a fraternity. No player who is worth his salt or believes he is still in the game would come to a club that has humiliated and shat on its playing group to save the skins of the incompetant suits who mismanage this club unless they are allready on the scrap heap. Its not all about money. The word has gone around. The prime draft picks we get will curse their luck.

Demonland needs an "emo room" where all you guys can get together

We can offer better picks than that.

Maybe we don't want to.

Juat book mark my post

yeah nah...ignore list

Maybe we don't want to.

That would be my preference. Who wants to get into a bidding war for a player whose only talent is that he's big?
