The once only Nudge/Chili rumor round up

Not sure if anyone has mentioned or seen this yet?

To shop him to all 17 clubs personally smacks of a bit of desperation on behalf of his manager. I think that Moloney has something still to offer an AFL club, but could it be that some clubs are interested, but his price is inflated due to what he was able to earn at Melbourne?

A couple of comments that I still find interesting and ironic is that he is Interested in helping a club to be successful (to me that suggests clubs outside of the finals are the only clubs showing any real interest currently) and that Leadership is something that he can offer the club

Still wish him the best... but where he ends up will be interesting I must say.

That's gotta burn Mr Harrington. Probably hours of work down the drain.

Great start for MFC....

We MUST get Wellingham - we MUST! I'll mow his bloody lawns for a year!

Desperation, that was my first thought also. Wish him all the best.

Goddard lodged papwerwork with AFL for move to Essendon. Who was the fool who posted he was coming to Dee's?

Goddard now a signed Essendon player... St Kilda not matching the offer.

Goddard Joins Essendon

Will be interesting to see when and what compensation St Kilda will receive and if they chase any FAs. Right now one would have to assume our pick 13 just became pick 14.

StKilda couldn't match offer. Otherwise they would compromise their list.

Lynch a Pie

Knights a Tiger

Goddard a Bomber

Moloney a Lion

Pearce likely a DOcker

About ten different facebook trade pages and Twitter trade feed which sources from trade radio. Moloney also reported on SEN

only 10 facebook pages .. that covers about 1% you need to be 2% or more to post LOL

Yes, to those that simply click the 'star' next to topics - Nudge has updated the OP.

Thanks.

Can someone confirm that Morton has requested a trade?

Rumour doing the rounds at work but can't find anything. Maybe he's hoping to replicate his brother!

They were just talking about it on Trade Week Radio, suggesting he was a prime candidate to look for more opportunity at another club. That's the only banter I've heard/read about it.

Damian Barrett was the one who claimed Cale wants out.

I love the work Nudge does, but seriously... Bate is a UFA yet still listed on the OP as trade bait.

Come on!

On big footy it mentions some rumors about frawley being a target of St kilda and he wants out. I take it as idle gossip, but at the same time pray that it isn't true.

Surely, surely not.....

Don't tell Stuie!

Classic large footy. He's contracted for another two or three years.

He's contracted until the end of 2014, so he's not going anywhere in the next two years, which gives the club ample opportunity to convince him where his future lies.

“But there are definitely a lot of things we can build on from this year to next year, and going into pre-season. That’s why I’m looking forward to next pre-season, and getting back into it and hopefully improving.”

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
