WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN

I agree. Pick 3 is a potential superstar. Asking for more than that is just greedy.

yeah it is a hell of a lot to give up but if they are indeed asking for this then that shows how much of a unstoppable force they believe he is! for us to give up both pick 3 and 13 he must be out of this world!

anyone else concerned about the ability of the MFC to retain a massively talented kid from WA for more than a few years?

No.

Can you tell us what picks were used?

Please only come out with these statements if you have evidence to show there truth!

Job done Hogan is a Demon

Where did you get this from and what is the deal?

Source on that Parma?

Source on that Parma?

Probably a Napoli.

I wasn't sure about waiting a year for this kid but Ben's sales pitch and his combine results won me over. Great burst speed, excellent endurance and a massive frame that loves body contact.

I asked the question a while back, does anyone know the kids intentions next year? Will he finish school in Perth or is he coming over here?

Hope that info didn't come from Mrs Parma and her 5 daughters ;-)

This is happening, just a matter of being finalised, probably tomorrow.

lets hope, and hopefully it is before bulldogs bring in talk about possibly bringing the new pick they got for losing Lake!

Then we should pass. Dawes is just an average player with some size. He'll fill a need here for a couple of years but he's not important enough to chase with an end of first round type pick.

At his best he is well worth it imo

Pick 3 and Martin for MD pick 2 (Hogan) and pick 20.

As much as i would hate to lose Martin i would be quite happy with this deal :)

Imagine if GC back flip and use MD1 on Hogan.

Im calling it now, he will demand a trade to West Coast or Freo when he is 22 or 23 years old

Sad but true

MFCSS

cant see many kids under 22 barracking for the dees to be honest.

I do! :)

Imagine if GC back flip and use MD1 on Hogan.

Imagine if Norm Smith's mum and dad sailed on the Titanic!

Reading speculation that Hogan deal is done however cannot find the specific details on this.

Can anyone provide details on the trade on what the MFC outlay was.

It was his choice to nominate for the mini draft. He would've known that the only teams capable of trading for him would've been cellars dwellers - which neither WC nor Freo are. He was only ever gonna come East. Why would he have nominated knowing that, if there was any chance he'd be homesick?

After all these statements saying that the deal is done, can anyone give me some actual evidence that there has been any progression today?

From BF:

Hogan deal confirmed. Giants get #3 and #13, assuming we sent MD2, #20 and Barry as was floated.

Biggest make or break deal of the decade...

Lets hope we got this one right

I guess if we don't ontrade pick 20 we can take this guy

#20 Nicholas Graham (VIC – Util)

Height: 182cm, Weight: 76kg, DOB: 12/06/1994

Recruited from: Gippsland Power

Style:

Player comparison:

Range: 20-50

Profile: Have been impressed with his game. Graham has above average pace but what really stands out is his ability to attack the ball and I really like his tackling game and his tackling energy has been a real highlight with the pressure he provides. Marking ability also solid for a player of his size. Uses it well by both hand and foot. Decision making ability good. Also an above average stoppage player and has a really natural inside awareness as well as the ability to read ruck taps.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
