I'd start with these 10.

Bate (not up to it)

Bartram (poor skills, injuries)

Bennell (pea heart)

Moloney (poor attitude)

Cook (Casey 2's)

Petterd (not up to it)

MacDonald (not good enough)

Davey (past it/dummy spitter)

Davis (not up to it)

Green (ret)

Geez No Morton???? I know he's contracted for 2013 but we have to find a way to get rid of him.

The way some demonlanders talk about our players, if true, makes them worth nothing as trades, so as a club we lose.

On the other hand, if other clubs do take some of our players and those players succeed, then why couldn't we have made them successful as they clearly weren't as bad as we thought - we lose.

Has this happened? WHo has left that has gone on to be a better player? Maybe Nathan Bassat but that's all I can think of.

I wonder if Nathan Carroll would be interested in returning?

Greens revelations are interesting but we can only really guess who or what he is having a go at. We dont know which players he is referring to, but I guess if he is saying 'using talent' well we dont have many of those to be honest - Davey, Sylvia are probably the only players considered to be standout talents.

Davey's body language for the last few years hasnt been great. His foot is cooked and I cant see a come back to be honest. Loved watching him - especially in the Byron Pickett times - but we have to move on. But I could be wrong and he could be super keen to come back and make an impact.

Colin Sylvia - well he has been playing quite well in the second half and you almost get the feeling the article about him 'saying his best is yet to come' is a plea more than anything else. Similarly with Dunn his form seems to come together right before contract signings. Im not suggesting that we get rid of either of these blokes but who has responded to the Neeld camp will be pretty clear at season's end.

Add another 1 for a cricket team-Pay out Cales last year.

No more passengers.

Cale is gawn. That is probably the clearest statement made by Neeld via selections thus far.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
