Howe and Jones Re-Sign

Featured Replies

jones was great this week, awesome last week and Howe, would have hated seeing him elsewhere taking hangers. Great finish to the game this week.

Big win for Schwab as he looks to shore up his support with the board. All indications are he will now stay on CEO.

Not sure how schwab gets pump up for this great announcement? Josh Moloney and Tim Harrington's area.

Cameron is too busy trying to find China on a map and designing the 2013 version of the MFC private school blazer.

Heard this on the way to the game. Excellent news!

Me too jane02.

I thought surely that good news will be followed up by a win.

YES

Phew!

Would anyone have a clue as to what Jones would be on? It's out of curiosity as he is worth every cent. I thought his over paid manager would have told him to wait until he won the B&F to suck some more cash out.

Best news all year. I was shitscared re Jones.

No doubt in my mind he was staying a Dee, as I was with Jamar they just love the club and Jonesy we love you!

Both key re-signings, both show the players faith in Neeld.

Well done boys!

Great news. So much for the players not being on board with neeld and his game plan and relationships have gone sour.

Thats now Jamar, Howe and Jones re-signed. Players who are easily in our top 10. Well done.

Culture modifying stuff right here.

Players showing their loyalty and commitment to the cause always brings a little tear to my eye. Excellent timing too. A real shot in the arm to the player group morale at a time when we are being bombarded by media re "tankiing"

Both potential A graders signed up for 3 years, Good stuff!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
