Not a weekly mission statement, but a kind of list of virtues or creeds that will last for the existence of our club.

If we do have them, where is it, where can i see it, where can I read it. I doubt it even exists?

Example.

MFC Creed

1. The MCG is our home

2. MFC only play in the Red and Blue and the Grand Old Flag is our song

3. Alway play to win

4. Loyalty to Club Captains and Club Champions

5. Always put the club before the individual

and so on.

Carve these 'rules' in stone and mount it on the walls of the MCG. A monument to the MFC ideology.

And dont give me, 'we will be the hardest team to play against', because it is not true.

How old are you 12?

The AFL Control the game now, they determine where we play, they determine who we play and they also insist that we have an away strip.

So what would you suggest? Perhaps we just turn up at the MCG instead of Etihad or Darwin and just forfeit the game; that sound right to you?

I guess we should offer Green another 3 year contract because he's a club champion, maybe 5 to Moloney at whatever he want's a year as well; another club champion.

If you have any suggestions try something with a bit of thought behind it not some Father Christmas wish list.

Actually, I would give Club champions or Captains the respect to retire when THEY see fit. It dosnt mean we have to play them in the seniors or pay them above award wages, but I think if they want to be involved in the playing group, they should be allowed.

And, whats wrong with having a MFC idealogy set in stone at the MCG.

You fellas really have a chip on your shoulder. Maybe I hit a raw nerve.

In response to miles from nowhere.

My vision:

-Strengthen ties with mcc to an extent where we can use the mcg as our training base and guarantee our financial future and increase our influence over the afl.

-Create an MFC creed or constitution.

-Aggressively target a proven premiership coach for 2013 which will boost morale, membership and sponsorship.

I would love to implement this vision, if I had the support.

You clearly dont.

We will try to locate a crane to help you get down from your horse.

So you'd still have Junior, Robbo, White Yze on the list? None of them wanted to retire and we had to push them out. The respect you'd give them is to retain them on the list, preventing us recruiting new talent, but you'd disrespect them by playing them every week at Casey?

Do you ever give any thought to any post; perhaps before you post next time, read it and if it doesn't make sense, delete it.

I don't speak for others but I'm sure if you had any ideas that were worthy of looking at you'd get some support but as I said a Father Christmas wish list is just plain childish.

Perhaps you should read this before you post again.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
