Game Day

Let the discussion begin. For mine, we're a big chance and I'd be disappointed with anything other than a win!

Also heard from a birdie at Casey Strauss may be a late inclusion, not sure who's out.

Agree we are a show and would love a win but not expecting much.

Petterd to have a solid game, would love to see something like his 15 tackles in the foward 50 again. But just some pressure and goal sense. Dunno if its fair to expect a best on ground performance but enough for him to hold a spot for a month or so.

Sylvia to continue some good form. I think I remember he had a cracker last year(?) when we pumped them over here?

Tappy out, Strauss in.

Congrats on James for getting his way back.

subs?

Strauss, Sutcliffe for free.

Bench is Bate, Bennell, Couch.

good luck straussy

Anyone there? What does the crowd look like? (this assumes the word 'crowd' can apply to the size of the gathering of people that is actually there)

Cursing, slipped a disc in my back and im stuck in bed. No footy today :(

I guarantee we will get up!

Hoping we can say the same for you.

Jumper looks dark pink again today.

Good to see bennell amongst it early.

Predicting a monster game from Sylvia today. He's looking great!

My man Sylvia goals off one step. His confidence is sky-high today.

Jordie Mc, 6 disposals 100% effective... must be our day. GREAT quarter!

Anyone listening to MMM is Denis Commetti saying Bennell's name right, thats not how I say it?

It goes without saying that this quarter has been our best of the year.

Martin Sylvia J Mac and Jordie great quarter, Rivers and Frawley down at the moment. Go Dees.

Jamar subed out?

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
