a funeral, as I remember it being said at the time. you know better than that do you?

none of us has any idea what went on. the court will make a serious effort to establish that. why have any of us the presumption to anticipate (in our near-total ignorance) what the court will find? what motive can we possibly have for speculating along these lines, given that he is one of our favourite players?

I have seen a lot of camera footage from 2-3 nights. Stuff that did not go to TV.

All i am saying as i said earlier is i will be amazed if LJ puts on a matchday MFC jumper again.

If he gets off the charges great, but i wouldn't be putting my house on it.

still, I love the guy. I won't put my house on it, thanks for the tip. You won't get me saying the negatives before I have to, though

LJ made the decision to travel up there. He knew the risks i have no doubt, and now he must face the law, from 2 sides.

Your reply has nothing to do with robbie's post. Why must you continually state the bleedin' obvious as if it's some brand new discovery?

Robbie still loves the guy and doesn't want to start saying negatives until he has to. What that has to do with the fact that LJ made the decision to go up there and that he must "face the law" is beyond me.

The fact that Robbie loves the guy has nothing to do with anything. Do you actually have any idea actually what went on up there for 2-3 days?

If you did you would not brush away my comments with such disdain.

Regardless of our "love" for LJ he is in extreme trouble. More than most on here want to admit.

I'm going to stop arguing with you because it appears we're discussing two different things. Robbie and I are saying that we'll cross the bridge of judgment when we come to it. You are saying that not only is the bridge here, but that we are wantonly ignoring it. I have no idea what went on up there; nor is it my business. But you profess to have inside knowledge, with which you intend to bait and tantalise us all.

I do not brush away your comments dainfully or disdainfully. I merely state that there are those who would like to maintain the image (or illusion, as it may be) of innocence until we can do so no longer.

Consider a man visiting his dying father. "I just want to spend time with him while I can," says he. But you retort that "If you knew medicine as well as I do, you'd know he'll die. Your dad shouldn't have drunk so much as a young man." As accurate as that may be, it is neither helpful nor necessary. That's how I see it.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
