Once again the Dees fall away after the half. Who is responsible for this? Fix that problem and we'll be much better.

I'm liking Bate's game/

That moment when you posted something you wish you hadn't ....

And again they show a replay while Nahas is kicking a goal.

Shouldn't have opened my mouth. We're a disgusting football club.

not just that i was at dees v lions round 1 and from 3 quarter time onwards sylvia was sitting in jim stynes room with a chick on his lap couldnt give a crap about the game i know some of us supporters can switch off but he gets paid by MFC to support his team mates when he is not playing, i thought it was really poor form from him

If that's true then I agree it's poor and really sums the guy up. Couldn't give a f!??k which sums his whole attitude to football.

Two very poor teams at this point, we really need to win this. Long season if we don,t. Long season if we win anyway.

Be an even longer week if we get smashed...as it appears this will be the case....

This really could become embarrassing. What is going on at the Dees?

Bate's game a mile in front of plenty of others in the Red and Blue

Yeah, he is getting to the contests... it's just what he does when he gets it, or is around it... I reckon the few good contests he has are more accidental than anything. That one amazing Clark play? Bate caused the spillage by basically not jumping, almost giving away the free by flailing about...

He's trying hard, doing a lot, it's just he doesn't have the skill for the modern game. Unless they make him a KP defender or something.

They just seem to be playing without any heart.....I dont get it.

absolutly true as soon as i seen it i left i thought well if your not in 100% why the hell am i, i cough up my hard earned to get a premium membership you get paid a truck load if u dont care why should i

Interchange stuff up.

Game over.

And to add insult to injury, a free kick for a goal to Richmond for an interchange infringement... we really are a shambles!!!

Morton gone at the end of the season. A No. 4 pick.

West Coast pick a Gaff at no.4. We pick Morton. And people want to debate that it's not our recruiting ...

But is it the recruiting or is it the club.

Both. But let there be no doubt. It is/has been the recruiting.

This club hath no heart. Being pants by Richmond. In all departments.

Disgusting and useless.

next week will be interesting with jim stynes match if they dont show up then they never will

Jesus Christ this team is terrible.

Will we beat GWS?

Abhorrant.

This is just getting embarrassing!!! In all of my 50+ years of following this team, I have NEVER felt so much like giving up as a member/supporter.

I thought 2008 was our lowest point in my life. This year will be worse. We will only have a chance to win against the new sides... and even those, I think they'll give GC more of a chance than us. We could win 3 or less again.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
