In spite of the ear bashing, just threw UP on the Melbourne guernsey and feeling damn proud all over again. Go Dees! You rubbish team you.

Wow way to take the jam out of my dougnut tonight Melbourne Cheers! Dee's down by 38

Yeah i'm off as well guys. Can't handle this garbage - might as well just man up and go one on one. Sounds like witches hats, haven't heard one clearance.

Yay Mitch our 3rd goal!

Although one could have mistaken it as a Matt Thomas goal as thats all they talked about

And if it is "hysterical" to be getting flogged stupid and made to look like school kids by a team who many predict to be bottom 2 or 3... Then book me in at the Insane Asylum!!

col sylvia can [censored] off to.. two handballs halfway through the 2nd qtr!

Look at the positives, Collingwood must be absolute garbage if they lost to us.

Another positive, we accidentally just got a goal...

....I know it's a trial game. ....I know we have a new coach ....and I know a 'new plan' will take time. But we're down 20-53 to Port friggin Adelaide! Guiness ease my pain.

Clark would be a little scared about playing deep forward for us right about now...... He has no idea how cold you can get standing in our goal square in June.

Hmm, sure some will be allready questioning my username.

But their is some good to come out of performances like this, Neeld knows exactly what he is dealing with.

It ain't much.

I have a feeling that we could possibly see a record in the AFL this year....

I'm not sure what the highest percentage of goals for the team in a year by one player is, but he may challenge it in 2012...

Troy Davis trying hard in defence

Tynan showing a bit in defence

We are being bombarded though

In forward pocket for MFC

There are players out there that no longer care. Sorry, but what other conclusion can be drawn from this rubbish? Just one colossal train wreck.

Jones kicks his 2nd goal looks about the only midfielder to b doing anything

Scored the goal from a stoppage in forward pocket

Jones could be a massive improver this year.... The next Dane Swan in a few years.... Will be handy to deliver the ball to Clark and any other forward we have developed who gives a toss....

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

Melbourne wrapped up the AFLW home and away season with a hard-fought 14-point win over Geelong at Kardinia Park. The result secured second place on the ladder with a 9–3 record and a home qualifying final against the Brisbane Lions next week.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
