Thanks for the footage Dee, I was actually at that game and saw EJ do the lap. Pretty sure I was at the first game after he passed away and all clubs for that round had a minutes silence (I think we were playing West Coast, but I could be wrong). I do remember how you could hear a pin drop from the other side of the G, chilling stuff.

Remember watching The Footy Show the night EJ passed away, and Doug Hawkins was on the panel - he was devistated.

EJ was a character, a great footballer and would be very disappointed that the SOO is not played in today's game.

Thanks Billy. I was not into footy at the time, so had lost touch with things AFL. I was disillusioned & disenchanted, so stayed away from the club. So when i heard Teddy was sick, I thought he'd be right. I didn't know he was on deaths door & mu mum was in the same boat then, but no one told me.

When they did the Lap of honor, I was stunned from the response, & thought something was drastically serious with him.

I was tearing up somehow recognising the occasion...

I sat down with the missus to watch that great game.

SOO is the best! A Real Tribal rivalry that we've lost with the national comp. Even the international is nowhere near those games emotions.

Remember the VFL Waverly game, when Robbie lined up on WA's Peak & tore him a new one.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week. WAYNE RUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS No Ollie, Chin, Riv today, but Rick & Spargs turned up and McDonald was there in casual attire.     A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
