AFL site has added some videos. Not all players are up yet, but there is enough to get you interested.

If you don't know who to look at, Bigfooty experts have named a few player that should be around pick 12.

Sam Docherty - Quick half back flanker with good disposal.

Liam Sumner - Outside Mid with good skills and loves a run.

Jackson Paine - 193cm KPF

Go hard or go home for O'Meara.

He is an unbelievable talent.

Both compo picks and Petterd? That is probably not enough. Chuck in Bater? I honestly don't think we have the pieces to get him but I would like to think we will be proactive. Martin plus the picks may go close but we would seem reluctant to trade him as we just signed him.

Would it tear at the fabric of the club to offer the picks plus a Jones or a (gulp) Grimes?

Can you tell that I am undecided about what we could offer?

Adding more players doesn't necessarily add more value.

I was desperate, what can I say?

Gold Coast has offered pick 4 for him apparently.

Sucks that they are in the box seat. Of course they are willing to give up pick 4 this year seeing as they have got young talent busting at the seams.

O'Meara and Viney, now wouldn't that be nice to see in 2013.

Might get a few down to Casey next year.

Based on who is available at pick 4 this year, I think our offer is better.

I agree. Pick 4 in this years draft, big woop. GWS has pick 1,2,3 and 5 plus many more. The 2 compensation picks will be a lot more tantalising than pick 4 in this years draft. Many on here won't be willing to give up both compo picks, but i definitely am. Have a look at his video on the AFL website, and granted that all highlight reels show just that, but by god he is a mover. He seriously moves like a Rolls Royce poetry in motion. I thought Brad Crouch was something, then i stumbled onto O'meara's video, and wow. We have to do everything in our power to try and get him to the club.

I would be hesitant to give away both our compo picks. Maybe our mid round compo and pick 12

I doubt pick 4 would be the final offer from gold coast.

Imagine getting O'Meara Viney and another pick straight after Viney in the superdraft. Drool.

Sure you don't want to give away too much, but i still reckon departing with both compo picks would be well worth it.

Imagine Viney and O'Meara coming in, with a year already under the belt of say a Todd Elton or Jackson Paine (i'd prefer Elton at this stage - draft camp results to come)

I'm a massive fan.

What would you give up for pick 1 in the 17 year old draft? (ie, O'Meara)

Looks unbelievably good.

Both Compo picks plus decent player if necessary.

Conversation between me and Gubby Allen.

"Gubby, what do you want for the first 17 year old pick?"

"You mean O'Meara? Well I want [insert heavy demand]"

"I'll double it. Hand it over now."

I want O'Meara AND Crouch.

Whatever it takes, within reason (no chip, watts, Trengove, Grimes...)

I reckon Matthew Haynes look alright too. Looking at him, he's tall and quick...looks the goods to me.

Wow , super impressed by O'meara, he is going to be a star.

Unbelievably smooth mover. Wowwee.

Happy to put up both compo picks. That's about it unless they want some knives and forks.

I think two first round picks will get you pick 2 in this draft, and i would be happy to pay this plus something smaller, Crouch looks nice, and if people arnt aware he is apparently the second most effective kick throughout the TAC cup season, as an underager...wow

Question being do we want one "Trengove" recruit or 2 Gysbert types, the trade off being depth, and you would nearly rather Trengove to two Gysberts imo, hard for us to lose though either way

We need midfield stars full stop. I'm unconvinced any midfielder on our list will be a star.

We should definately wave the $cummy compo under Sheedy's nose. It won't land us an established star but it might be enough to get us a future one. I'd be very happy with either O'Meara or Crouch.

Even with Viney and one of O'Meara or Crouch coming in I'd still go a mid or a mid/def with pick 12 this year. Hoskin-Elliot or Buntine would be the dream but both will probably be gone. Sumner or Docherty are probably more realistic. If Greene is available at our pick he may be too good to ignore. Kavanagh is an interesting one but I'm not sure we should be taking any risks with first round picks, he was considered top 5 before his injuries.

Toby Greene and Ben Kennedy look ok I think Kennedy is one of the underage kids in the mini draft.

For those that can't get the AFL website videos to work, if you look on YouTube for the channel "aflvideos2011" there's highlights of most draft prospects.

I'll settle for O'Meara & Docherty.

Or if not O'M, then a Crouch would be Handy inside the packs. Reminds me a little of Swan.

How far am I prepared to go?

(Jamar + 2012 2nd compensatory pick + Davey)

or ( Blease + 2012 1st compensatory pick + Wonna)

or (2012 1st compensatory pick + Morton + Bennell)

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit.
Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.
