The New Sponsors

Featured Replies

One of the biggest and powerful men in the media industry.

Google him.

Cripes he is worth a fortune. If he is a board member of the MFC will he need Eddie's help?

His job is basically blanket sponsorship!!

I don't recall hearing anything about Footscray sidestepping this deal until reading this - what was reported IIRC, was that Polis was a Bulldogs supporter, that was all. They continue to have a major sponsor called Mission Foods that was signed up prior to us signing Hankook and kaspersky. I don't know how they could have tied up another jumper sponsor when Mission pay for both FOJ and BOJ. I think someone is making up some porkies that the Bullies were smart enough not to deal with them - there was never a deal on the table there

Can I ask what was on the back of the jumpers? Haven't watched any match vision

A big blue strip, same colour as the numbers, made out of the same plastic.

[censored], Eddie wants QB back 2 help us........lol, but NOOOO conspiracies.

We can look at how they can help, especially Harold, can't we?

Some of you dreamers on here don't watch too many sports shows or just simply keep watching the cartoons. Ch 7 today (BT & his mate Darcy) spoke of the deal re EW and the fact that Footscray were smart enough to avoid them. Schwabb has had a year of epic fails, so you smoothsayers just want to ignore this fact and remain in reverse for another year. Get a grip on reality boys, easy to say keyboard warriors do this and do that, but where has it all got us with CS. Energy watch were not checked properly by us or Victory or the Rebels. We all made the same blunder...............fact. Footscray did not...............fact. Polis and his previous business efforts were just plain thin ice stuff, it was all there for anyone to check on!! Hello Schwabb. Does the truth hurt or are you just oblivious to the obvious. You need stronger facts, petals! This is the sort of stuff big wages are paid to senior management to ensure due diligence is always adhered to. Jeez we are rank amateurs in this regard.

Energy watch as a business has been very successful to my knowledge, he is just a racist biggot.

fair enough 1 out of 4 clubs thought he may be a dodgy guy.

Please explain the countries 3 largest energy providers working with him?

edit - sorry i don twatch a sunday morning football program lol.....seriously

I think that is always an issue if the Bulldogs had other commitments or other opportunities unlike MFC.

I am very wary of Eddie in terms of our club. It was he that started the $cully circus. And if Eddie helps you can be dam sure there will be quiet provisos as to how we deal with his club.

Eddie threatened war only 1-2 months ago.

Be wary Demons FFS.

I always thought GWS started the Scully circus.

Eddie made noise in the media and some people get suck in and call it "war".

MFC should be wary and should be looking for the best outcome for MFC and not the first outcome that comes along. This has potential to have "gifts" with hooks in it. If Eddie and Mitchell do succeed, it makes Schwab look lame in the process. And given we have strived and failed to snare the 2nd sponsor we have been looking for, its looks bad on the current administration.

Who is Harold Mitchell?

Given you have pushed your media experience I so often cant believe you asked that. He is one ofthe most powerful men in Australia and as ubiquitous in the media game as Eddie is in AFL.

Thing is, Still Waiting has provided no support for his "facts" and it seems he may be the only poster here who is aware of any consideration the Doggies may have given to EnergyWatch.

I work for the ABC i don't have time to take notice of advertisement Guru's.

I worked at GTV 30 years ago. That was enough

Eddie seemed dead serious about it in th Hun a couple of days ago. Don't quite know what to make of it - my gut feel is he genuinely wants to help

HOW " EMBARRASSMENT !!!!

this is ABSURD !!!!!!!! LAME BIG TIME..

HE is being sanctimonious & self serving !! to keep his profile UP.!! & succeeding in putting the MFC down ..

HAND THE HAT AROUND >>??

SERIOUSLY ..!!??

u guys don't get it..

we r not a junior development club for goodness sakes.

A high profile professional club does NOT NEED this crud.

excecs.. need to do their job properly is all,. with well known high profile successful co's.

or be sacked accordingly..

this should not be a footy show hand out for a backwater club "NEEDING CHARITY OR A WHIP AROUND"..!!!!!!

Harold Mitchell has had a regular talking spot on 774 for years speaking on media issues. He is frequently quoted in all media and he sits on a range of public institution boards and chairties.

He is a walking self promotion machine that crosses out of media into all circles of business. He has made a big issue of self promoting his weight loss battles about a year or two before he then started promoting his autobiography.

Amazing you are not aware of him. There you go.

I have never needed to lose 70 kg's so i missed that one! Lots of Friday lunches there.

Maybe get Qantas onboard (so to speak) The pitch- commitment to Australian market, both club & sponsor working with Asia , compete against Emirates (scums sponsor) who's trying to compete in Aus market, and tell Eddie to go shove it up his fat double chinned hole...

I think Masters would be a good sponsor to get on board. There just starting out in there quest to take on Bunnings and I think we would make a good fit for them.

Iselect making a big play in life insurance area and at 110% commission the earn they should be able to afford it....they also sell health insurance which every MFC supporter should buy given the trauma we are experiencing to date

he mentioned it was commented on during the sunday footy show, where all such news breaks apparently

sorry on channel 7 or something

I think Masters may already have been looked at as a prospect.

Eddie does nothing that doesn't in the long term help CFC. Be absolutely wary of his gifts with strings attached with or without the AFL's nod of approval ie Queens Birthday gift of gate takings - all smoke and mirrors.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
