Wonder if Watts gets a recall. Casey really need Pedersen and Byrnes this week and for the rest of the year. I would be happy if anyone else played for us instead, other than Gillies.

No phone call yet. Can't believe it. I am ready to preside.

you can be the "president in waiting" then

you've had 49 years of practice in waiting, shouldn't be too hard

Appreciate the thought H_T but given the bagging that our last half a dozen CEO's have received from the media and the public, I'm going to suggest that the club appoints a popular figure for the position who would be completely beyond criticism and who the usual suspects would think twice about before any back stabbing.

I'm nominating Black Caviar for CEO.

If you travelled North of the border into NSW there were plenty of critics at Randwick last Saturday.

Now they are all salmon and black fans, thanks to BC spanking the best they had to offer. Has to travel overseas again to find any competition.

And Gerard Whateley should be seriously contemplating a new book for BC.

I am currently reading his first one on her.

If Gerard writes in any way like he speaks, you will save yourself a fortune on Valium.

On sporting books, just dug out "Knights in Muddy Armour". Bloody star. Sorry, little off topic.

There is no topic here, must you be reminded.

Phil Edmonds wife wrote a cracking tome.

But never will I forget 'How to Hypnotize chickens and other tales".

Max Walker must be the greatest novelist to have worn the red and blue.

Can what Max writes really be described as "novels"?

Don't forget Max hails from Tassie, the same neck of the woods as Martin Flanagan. Must be something in the water down there ... (or maybe they just have double the brain cells  )

Well, it is not 'The Aeneid' either ... :)

Black Caviar has retired unbeaten in 25 starts. What a horse? I will continue reading the Whately book on her.

It's a great record Redleg. Absolute freak of a horse.

What isn't a great stat is that Black Caviar had more wins in it's racing career than Melbournefc had wins.

We were all lucky to be able to see her run. May never see another like her. She is the female Frankel. Imagine the offspring value of a mating between those two. The Sheikhs would pay an oilwell.

You could be onto something there ... a bit more like Aenid Blyton than Roman epic poetry.

I have read 'The Magic Faraway Tree' to my kids, but I can't imagine doing that with 'How to hypnotise chooks ...'

Probably not dissimilar to that of Frances Edmonds next one.

"The trials and tribulations of the born to rule exploiting the Congo" .

Never mind Redleg .Plough through.

My thoughts on Black Caviar are coloured by her advantages in life ,rather than the hardships she ever endured ,which were very few.

Like reading a book titled "Paris Hilton-My Struggle".

A real page shutter.

Every accolade makes Sheedy wealthier ,which is the really sad part for me .

I'd read it, but I'm worried that there'd be too much sex in the book (it being written by Gerard Whately and all).

i hear black caviar has been on the james hird juice. of course, about as much credibility here as north korean news

Now that she's retired, she has plenty of time for the CEO gig and furthermore, would make a great running partner for Redleg.

I believe this is the big announcement that's going to be made at the club tomorrow. Redleg for Chairman and BC for CEO.

There I've beaten Caro for the scoop of the week!

It may be BC, but sadly it won't be me as I haven't been contacted yet . Maybe they will appoint me without speaking to me as they know I would be excellent in the role.

Obtaining the offspring of Frankel-Black Caviar could start a war....

Redleg, do you have any of your horses in work at present?

Back on BC, I'll try and post a link I saw the other day which had the concluding stages from the turn in her first 24 starts. Amazing footage. If you have 5-10 minutes spare it's worth watching and reminiscing.

Stop the presses!

The late mail is that Kim Jong Un is preparing to take over from Don McLardy after the GWS game.

North Korean missiles are currently being moved around and are to target Fat Phils palace in Western Sydney. This ploy will win over the MFC members for sure....first we take Blacktown, then we take Princes Park!

Briefed will run next week, maybe Anzac Day at Flemington. Ran 2nd in a trial and going well.

Anluan should be off for her first start in a couple of weeks.

Le Beau Cheval will run in Sydney somewhere in next week.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
