When umpire Phil Waight attempted to report Bourke for the incident, Bourke shoved him to the ground and kicked him, and also made contact with a Collingwood runner who was attempting to take him off the ground before running into the stands to attack a Swans fan.[2]

    As a result, Bourke was handed a suspension of ten years, equivalent to 240 matches.[4] It was later reduced to six years.[5]

    I understand how he felt, half way through the third quarter of the 21 granny, I got up to do the dishes rather than abuse my wife and the TV.  Her cry of,  they have just kicked a goal brought me back very quick.  the dishes waited for a while.

    Eff it, I hope I can be at the ground this year if we make it.   Go Dees     Love this thread.

    Thanks 640MD. The love for this thread is really lovely. I loved creating it and am loving that so many intelligent people have also loved it. I feel it has created many mores loves and lovers as a result. 
    The loveliest comments of the posters have always demonstrated their loveliness, in their appreciation of the thread. I personally have felt lovesick and lovelorn when away from the thread for any short period of time. It is a thread that has many lovelocked and loved up and sometimes feels like a love affair with the written word.
