Ok we are less crappy than previously.

Well at least that got a smile Redleg on a day when bananas have been taken from my diet.

Not a good day round here.

That's not good.

Weve actually improved in so many places

As a football person[x coach player ,junoir coach }our lines have improved a lot.

Second year around and the overall will be much much better er.

Watts is a graph of the clubs last 5 years, the occasional Quarter and nothing else,

Unfortunately some of the weakened supporters have fallen for the love trap and cant let go their feelings for a bloke who is just no good.

You will not get an argument from me on the last line jazza but I think you are over estimating the improvment.

Last is a lock now, the only reason it will not happen is if GWS do a MFC of a few years back.

Yes. It is true. I 'ran into' BBO at the game today. And might I say I came off 2nd best. He is one big unit. Thankfully they have no armrests in between the seats at the Darklands. All of him could fit into 2 seats ... just. All this talk about fitness, his drinking arm is certainly fit. Apparently they ran out of beer. Not surprised. Much to my distaste, we sat near the cheer squad. I was perched in between BBO and The Ox (yes, he was there chewing beers as well). The Ox is large, huge in fact, but nothing in comparison to BBO. You should've warned me Biff. I may need to seek counselling

Just let me clarify Moonshadow’s rather idiosyncratic way of dealing with the facts. (In other words he is bull shiting)

True. I did sit next to Moonie at the game - because no one else appeared to want to.

True. I did cover my seat with ease but to suggest I needed more than one seat is somewhat exaggerated .

BTW The ox has a bigger ar se than me.

True. I did guzzle quite an amount of beer. However, not only did Moonie slurp an equal amount but he became increasingly loud and abusive and frightened a child that was sitting in front of us. I maintained decorum at all times.

The knee touching incident was quite accidental of course.

BTW 1. I exceeded my pb at the gym and did a solid 1 &1/2 minutes on the treadmill.

BTW 2. Moonie would not fit into a refined society such as the gentry of Romsey. Possibly even Borewood would be beyond him. However I'm sure he would fit right into Biffen's social circle.

I don't have a social circle so much as a ring.

As far as fitting into Romsey goes , one would have to be desperate.

Or into moleskins and whips.

Biff - must I remind you of your place in society. You are a successful entrepreneur and exploiter of the unfortunate. However, let us consider your usual associates - bohemian types, prostitutes, perverts, deviants, molesters of various hues etc etc. I know you secretly aspire to social climbing but Romsey is beyond you.

Keep your goals within reason ( and at about the same level as Moonie and, I suspect Frosty)

I don't mean to be hurtful Biff - consider this tough love.

don't know about the knee incident being accidental, at least negligent or reckless if not downright intentional

you are fortunate the touch was a low down act with apparently low impact as moonie is still posting

however in line with dl's policy of the knee being sacrosanct i believe you should incur a penalty of 145 activation points, downgraded to 95 carry-over points for a guilty plea

consider yourself very lucky bbo

Accurate wrap sheet dc. You should be on the MRP.

What BBO failed to mention was that he went from the gym straight to the game. The stench was horrific - I'm sure it would have easily cleared the Gat of all inhabitants Biff, if they didn't pass out initially. And the lycra outfit was something out of this world. Yes, it was Melbourne colours, but so ill-fitting that he spent most of the match desperately shoving flesh back in it's place. Quite disturbing really. The father of said young girl in front of us discretely asked me if BBO was my mother! Good lord, can you imagine!

hmmm, i did wonder if this charade of his with the gym involved him in lycra or whether he just re-used the rubber suit

BBO would probably fit into your ring quite nicely Biff if you permitted.

Maybe they could invite Jeff Fenech to join them.

BBO and the Biff, would like to be punched around the ring no doubt.

Anyone going to the game this weekend? I just can't motivate myself to go.

Anyone going to the game this weekend? I just can't motivate myself to go.

I must admit I'm in the same boat.

Even the possibility of witnessing some beautiful BBO/Moonie sexual tension wouldn't be enough to get me to the game.

I don't need that much pain in my life Redleg.

Off to the Amos for me this week.

Thank you Redleg but it is bloody sad to say the least

Where are the sickos - Moonie and Biffen - tonight? Just asking.

I was just de- briefing Moonie after his tumultuous weekend.

He has seen vulgarity and crassness before but not on a rural scale.

I am afraid he has lost his faith in humanity for ever and he is fearful of social interaction in case of any further fateful encounters .

He will be fine when his therapy is finished- give him time.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front.  They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
