Redleg 42,156 Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 I know Davis is not a great kick, which is a pity because I think he has some ability and can play at either end of the ground. It will be interesting to see how the new coach evaluates him. Quote
Red and Bluebeard 2,101 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Watch Davis at training R & B IMO he is no better then than on game day. Fair point -- I haven't been to training for longer than I care to admit ... Quote

I think his contract is up this year Redleg for a player that will have been on the list for three years with a team that cannot beat time with a stick and still cannot get one game it does not look good.He will probably get little thought or attention. Sad but I think his gone! Quote

Redleg 42,156 Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 Would like to see Taggart and Tynan get a run before the season ends. They both need the experience and the encouragement to strive harder. Quote
Redleg 42,156 Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Broad is following in the family footsteps. His father chris broad, refused to leave the wicket after being given out, in a match in the mid eighties. Graham Gooch had to walk down the pitch and tell him to leave. Given the obvious dismissal, young Broad's performance was extremely poor. It is one thing on LBW's and disputed catches, to wait for the umpire, but when you know you are clearly out, you don't cheat. His performance was pathetic. Sadly it looks like the Poms will win this test, unless we bat brilliantly in the 2nd innings. Quote

Redleg 42,156 Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 We are being showed up today by a strong skilful great wet weather side at their home ground. Not playing Rodan in these conditions was a big mistake. 1 Quote
old dee 24,083 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Another Monday not much different to many over the last two years. Only 68 points on Saturday Two years ago 186 occurred to this day we still do not know the details. And whatever they were they may well be the root cause of where we sit today. It still amazes me that a group of players with way more ability than the current group could get beaten so badly. Quote

Not enough credit given to Mark Neeld for engineering such a dramatic turn around in form after the cataclysm that was 186. Quote

Redleg 42,156 Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 I really hope we don't decimate the Casey side like we have for the last couple of years. They deserve some success for their efforts. Quote
