Wonder if they will rush Flash back in or play him with Casey to get match fitness.

I wonder if the price of bananas will drop before you know who does you know what

I hope so as I really miss my bananas on my muesli for breakfast

They will definately drop before we win at KP.

Had some in Indonesia last week.

After four serves guess what?

they are only bananas.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

I hear you. This season is so dead to me.

I'm going to go to the games (not going to Geelong this week), but the interest and motivation is non existent.

Also I can't eat bananas so I'm a cheap date

It is heading that way for me too Jaded.

By Monday 15/8 I will be thinking of the coming NBL season.

Wonder how the Tigers are going to perform with their new player list?

Looks a little more hope there for me!

I hope not Redleg if we do it really says to me that all hope is gone.

If we prefer a player who has been out for eight weeks with a leg injury

to other fit players then we are truely desperate and have little confidence in our list.

I have a niggling feeling. Don't know why but sometimes I think we wont see much more of Flash in red and blue.

I can answer it even simpler for you, " that thread is full of sh-t" and basically consists of personal attacks on other demonlanders and a player. None of us need to waste our time adding to or being part of it.

Very honourable ... but watch your actions, they could be interpreted a different way.

Edit thank-you daisycutter for picking up my error.

I agree

A few weeks back I suggested we should trade him while he still has some currency.

Nothing has happened to change my mind.

Good God man its interpreted!

I really try to avoid such correcting.... but intrepid!

Thank-you I was doing some work ... much appreciated. But hopefully you got my drift. Us foot soldiers are just simple blokes.

I know I am simple, but I really can't understand anything you post. I have absolutely no idea what you are saying.

Bailey Article

Coach wants our player payments evenly spread.

Now if I had posted this on the other thread, you can imagine all hell breaking loose.

Hmmn, I've wondered the same since about 2 weeks after the Edishat game.

No problems. I wasn't suggesting you were simple. But I accept I have a communication problem around here.

Maybe we just come from different worlds ... ah well ... bit like life really. If we were all exactly the same ... it would be so boring.

Damien Barrett on the Footy Show said he thought Phil Davis, Rhys Palmer, Callum Ward, Mitch Clark and you know who were the five players GWS had already got, or were after.

Not according to Barrett.

Interesting that he was sure that Brisbane was losing one of Rich, Leuenberger or Clark... until Brisbane announced that both Rich and Leuenberger had signed on.

The bloke has NFI.

He knows as much as the bog standard BigFooty poster.

Good gig, getting on the Footy Show as the newsbreaker and then getting a fair amount of it wrong.

Add a few crumbs, everybody's leftovers, the best young players in a weak draft pool and coaches who peaked before or around the turn of the century in a heartland where nobody really cares about the game and you have the makings of the next three wooden spoons right there. The GWS Giants loom as the AFL's next failed club after University, South Melbourne and Fitzroy.

Strong words Jack I would agree with only one problem.

The AFL will pour money into this for 20+ years

At the expense of Melbourne based teams like North, Tigers. Dees etc.

It will get up even if they have to lose a couple of Victorian teams in the process.

It will be interesting to see of the 5000 average attendance they will get, how many are free tickets.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons are back on the road again and this may be the last roll of the dice to get their 2025 season back on track as they take on the Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
