So who should I barrack for on Saturday, only askin' cos my wife has no idea ?

Some one said to me today they will watch till 5 minutes from the end thenย  turn off the tv. Then they won't have to see either team happy. Sounds like a good idea to me.

ย

Funny but Grandfinal day has always been a big deal in our family but Fortunately last year has changed my perspective completely nothing will ever compare to that feeling that I felt this time last year. I feel no love towards either combatant but will watch out of curiosity I hope they knock themselves out and one wins by a point.!!!

Does anyone know how much the tickets would cost, if we had made it of course, Have I saved $2000 by us losing both games ?

ย

Only watching as Sydney made it, otherwise I would be gardening.

No, it has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Understandable.

An interstate side against a privileged country side.

Not sure for the PF.

The GF is about $500 per ticket regardless of where the seat is.

I wish I had a ticket, 500 would be useful.ย

Grand Finals aren't the same without MFC in it.

Hmm 3 appearances in 56 years means you haven't enjoyed many. In that 56 years I have been to a lot that I have enjoyed immensely. Especially 1970.ย ย

This is a new attitude OD, as of this year!

I've enjoyed many Grand Finals all jokes aside. 2018 was magnificient, also really enjoyed the 2012 one with the Malceski snap to seal it. As for 1970, wasn't around at the time but I specially bought it on DVD when I was younger because I liked the idea of wartching Collingwood choke over and over again. One of the true Grand Finals.ย

Went to my first game of live league football since my stroke yesterday. The game was held at Leederville Oval, which was our former home ground of 75 years. It was a strange feeling moving around the ground in my electronic wheelchair but I had a good view of the game from the fence line. Luckily I had help from my niece and her boyfriend as moving over sloped grass areas was interesting ๐Ÿค”ย

I have a very mixed view of the 2022 football season as I am so disappointed ๐Ÿ˜ž by how Melbourne finished it's final campaign. But our favourite teams cannot win all the Premierships they deserve ๐Ÿ˜ค ๐Ÿ˜ช ๐Ÿคงย

May 2023 be more successful ๐Ÿ™ โœจ ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ˜Œ โ˜บ GO THE DEES!

ย

The decade of debacles continues at Essendrug! ย You have to wonder โ€œwhat were they thinkingโ€ in this last episode.ย
I am wondering what they can possible do to top the last couple of days.

I have confidence they will come up with something.ย

Spot on OD!

ย I could be having the sh*ttiest day ever where everything seems to go wrong but I know Iโ€™ll sleep well that night safe and happy in the knowledge that Essendon is a basket case. And likely will be for quite some time. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผย
Is โ€œforeverโ€ asking to much. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demonsโ€™ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
