I've quaffed a few on occasion skinny but they're not on my regular slurping list.

D you know the origin of the famous drop 'Bailleys and Bailleys'?

Tayla Harris kicked a BANANA last night.
Just thought I’d mention it on account of this thread being (in part) dedicated to bananas.
I still don’t know why. 🤔

Green bananas.

Are they OK here? Can someone give me a potted banana (indoor plant?!) history? I'm still like @WalkingCivilWar too.

Educated guess: there was a time when the price of bananas was such that one had to just about take out a second mortgage on one’s home in order to buy a decent bunch.
That’s all I can put it down to.

Her banana goal was so smooth, it can be referred to as a banana smoothie.

If Bayley Fritsch kicks a banana, smooth or otherwise, can it be referred to as a BANANA FRITTA?

And if Big Maxy kicks one…

Thus is opened, temporarily, a can of worms.

Bread and butter kick for Tommy...

Tim you seem a touch confused. The unmentionable’s name is not the name of the thread, but only part of it, abbreviated by first letters only. So his name is not No T$ No BS but rather part of the thread title only. Hope that clears it up for you.

Secondly why are you talking about him, as he doesn’t exist on here.

Third, keep enjoying the thread and post on all matters non T$ or non BS, as is the mantra of the thousands of fellow contributors.

Fourth, be nice to uncle Bitters, as he might invite you around to the manor for a tipple, from his latest wine cask, purchased from the local $2 shop, on one of their half price special sale days. You can get a lovely drop for a dollar these days.

…. rather the days of the $1.50* flagon of claret, around the era of our previous flag.

* erratum.  Back then of course it was 15 shillings.

I have a few shillings, along with florins, pennies, half pennies, six pences, thruppences etc, in my collection of old Aussie coins.

If only I had a 1930 Penny.

Dan's bought out the best Liquor outlet in Adelaide, Bailly and Bailyy's, then used their House Brand and marketed it throughout Australia and , yes, it's Riverland material, the stuff once used in casks.

By the way, I watched the second half of the 2015 Anzac Day Richmond game: was that you exposing your half naked torso during the last quarter? If it is/was, I'd go on a diet - eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we diet - and no, my name is not a version of someone who diets, nor is my name or torso skinny.

My brother has a 1960 Penny. (His wife’s name is Penny and she was born in 1960.) And if I know my brother as well as I think I do, I’m sure he’d be more than happy to swap her for a couple of your florins or shillings. 🤣

I don't want to start any family arguments.

Yeah nah that ship’s sailed. 😆

My sister-in-law is awesome. It’s my brother who’s the pain in the arze. For starters, he’s a hardcore Carlton supporter and has never forgiven me for not being a Navy Blue. But I’ll leave that for if/when a Dr Phil thread is created. 👍🏽

Personally I would have nothing to do with him.

For years the only time I hear from him is when he shoots me a snarky text after a Melbourne loss. Especially if it’s at the hands of Carlton.
🤔 Funny thing, I haven’t heard from him in quite a while. 😁

Can I ask

is Nigel Farage the UK pollie, is he a secret contributor to this thread and if so what is his moniker?

he is all over the Banana Republik thing.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
