I think it is time to change the title by adding "No W" every thread on Demonland descends into a JW discussion. I am well and truely over the discussion.

Should we be talking about Port players?

Move over Vicpol, the big boys at the AFL Integrity Unit are taking over

AFL and Integrity are two words that simply don't go together.

The AFL Unscrupulous Unit seems more appropriate.

Police have dropped the case now so just wait for the weasel words that flow from the AFL.

"After I went to the dentist, I needed a holiday, and so I went to Hawaii for a beer with Roosy". Never say never, OD ...

"After grilling the stupid bastard who did this for several hours, we finally broke him, and convinced him to give us the medal, so that it wouldn't get into any more trouble. We immediately awarded it to Jobe Watson for safekeeping. As we wouldn't know integrity from a bar of soap, we gave the player concerned several bars of soap, put him on strike one and suspended him from the JLT series. We take this very seriously as our actions have shown. We were also going to recommend counselling for this player, but no-one knew how to spell it, so we gave him a severe reprimand and a $2 fine instead, to be immediately inserted in the swear jar."

I think you are about 30 short, DF. Redleg doesn't seem to want to make it specific, in case you think of pick 31 and who we swapped for it ...

Now Mr.Leg you have deserted your post that hardly puts you in a position to be critical.

I often do "like " drone strikes on Youtube.

Helps me relax.

What the hell are you talking about? Don't worry I don't need to know.

Life is slipping by.

I just executed a mosquito and realised that may be me in my next life.  But it was good while it lasted.

Reincarnation can be a wonderful thought except that it requires a virtuous current life. I now ache in the places that I used to play, so perhaps there is hope. The beast is tamed. Sorry Leonard. I will explain when I see you. I spend all my days listening to your music and reading your poetry.  It's nice to think you will love forever in the Tower of Song.

It is a reassuring thought that there will be no MFC or Demonland in my next life but I suspect Jack Watts will pop up perhaps standing by the bar and telling us what went wrong at Port Adelaide. Don't worry Jack, we all know......you went to Adelaide to live.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
