Has anyone heard from Uncle Bitter since his update from the hospital after trying Fence's ill-advised 'cure'?  Or are the nurses not letting him near his phone or a computer for fear that he use it to access Demonland?

Hope he is recovering well.

He's busy getting numerous sponge baths from any heath professional that walks into his squalid isolation room (due to acute halitosis). They discharged Bitters days ago, but he has decided to stay due to getting more attention there then the lads give him at Romsey Manor. Our Uncle Bitters is nothing if not an attention seeker.

Bastards all of you!!

I had genuine concern for you Uncle Bitter.  I was worried that nurses thought the stress caused by Demonland might impede your recovery.

On the other hand, I noticed that Biffen appears to have shown no concern for your  predicament.

biffo's stoicism is often misinterpreted as a callous disregard for other's welfare, mable. i'm sure deep down he was most concerned for uncle's plight

Looks like we might be well under full strength this week, whereas the Pies have been greatly improved with Sidebottom, Toovey and Varcoe playing.

The stoics were a tough lot, but rather dull-like people from Northern UK.

I'm more of a sadist DC. I'm afraid Mable was nearest to pin.

CALLING UNCLE BITTERS ( AKA dIRE sTRAITS)

Calling Uncle Bitters
Is anybody home?
Calling Uncle Bitters
I'm here all alone
Did he leave the building?
Or can he come to the phone?
Calling Uncle Bitters
I'm here all alone

Well tell him I was calling
Just to wish him well
Let me leave my number
Heartbreak hotel
Oh love me tender
Baby, don't be cruel
Return to sender
Treat me like a fool

Calling Uncle Bitters
Is anybody home?
Calling Uncle Bitters
I'm here all alone
Did he leave the building?
Can he come to the phone?
Calling Uncle Bitters
I'm here all alone
Alright

Why don't you go get him?
I'm his biggest fan
You gotta tell him
He's still the man
Long distance, baby
So far from home
Don't you think maybe
You could put him on

Tell him I was calling
Just to wish him well
Let me leave my number
Heartbreak Hotel
Oh, love me tender
Baby, don't be cruel
Return to sender
Treat me like a fool

Calling Uncle Bitters

Calling Uncle Bitters
Here all alone
Did he leave the building?
Or can he come to the phone?
Calling Elvis
I'm here all alone

All too true, Redleg. But we have to stop worrying about it. You know how it is us with us -- we know how bad we have been, but we come back each week hoping that things will be different this game. We are all a long way past insane!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
